Looking good Roland!

It's a nice feeling to get rid of those old relays and fuses.

Nice work as always Roland , good to see you have still had some steady progress through the winter . I'm back out of the brace after another surgery on my hand and at it again in the garage myself . May have a finished product for you in the near future , wish me luck.

Hi my friend

Nice to hear you're on the way of recovering well. Had no issues with health since my surgery, but life is absorbing my time sometimes in different ways, so car has to wait then. Now I hope to make some more progress than in the last couple of months.

Get well soonSmileWavy

You may have over-red, that it has a different reason, mainly my anancastia to work on everything at least twice:D

Seriously, I just was not happy enough with the result from 10 years ago and had some money to spend for wiring, connectors etc.. as my christmas gift to myself:)

I spent the last couple of weeks to make my own Wiring diagramm plus disposition and ddraft for cables, fuse box etc.

They look like this:

Same as my process:

1. Mockup in cardboard until I get it right
2. Fabricate in metal
3. Stand back and admire work
4. While admiring, realize it could be better
5. Mockup again and re-fabricate

:D

While waiting for some more cables for my SDS EFI (thanks to Ross from SDS for great customer service once moreSmileWavy ) I worked a bit on the Instrument harness, much snow and cold here, nicer to sit in the living room now than kneeing in the car now:D

All cables crimped instrument-side. Next weekend test fit and final routing in the car:

Is it...? Hmm, that explains my sweating, thought somethings wrong with me:D

There will be an update soon, but only a little. Be patient.

Bunnies make great pets.
That's a good looking one you got there, Roland.

Thanks Paul

He is already about 3kg at the age of about 12 weeks, will grow up to 10kg

blee 06-16-2017 07:23 AM

Way too heavy! You need to figure out a way to "lighten" that bunny. Holes in the ear? Sic! I know, sorry.

Roland, sorry to drag this up from the past, but are you using the throttle positioner along with the MAP? I am assuming the TPS is only for enrichment? Gauges look great, BTW.

Hello Pat

Sorry for late reply, was not online since a while... Yes MAP is main parameter, TPS only for enrichment/throttle response

Was in Zuffenhausen for a factory and museum visit to get some inspiration;)

50years 917 exhibition. Probably the only one you will see that much 917 at once

Hi Garry

All fine, thanks for asking. Spent a lot of time doing other things, for example bought a new lathe and drillpress (or whatever you call that in english). Took quite a lot of time to install them in a smart way in my little room. Also search for the most usefull options/tools is timeconsuming. However I am done more or less now and will go on with working on the car. But no hurry, it's summertime here:D

Hang on, haven't you posted something like "no hurry, it's winter time here" ("and I'm off skiing")?!?! ;):D

Hope you're well Roland, like the other folk, looking forward to more updates.
