Intercooler question

I have an stock intercooler from a 1979 - does anyone know what years these fit- I think they are all the same from 78-89but I don't want to misrepresent this part.

Phil

I'm guessing that definitive answers are hard to come by, thus the crickets chirping on this thread. 930 owners are just beginning to be concerned with correctness, so the data just isn't there yet. What we do know:

75/76/77 intercoolers are definitely different than all the rest.

Not quite: Porsche plundered its heritage museum to supply the exquisite pre-78 intercooler for the extraordinary M491 "Turbo-Look" Carreras.

I'll speak for Ronnie, and say it'll fit the trash can.

Seriously, GLWS! Should find a buyer no problem.

I've had intercoolers from every year at one time or another, the only difference I've noticed is the date stamps and ID tags. Structurally I don't think the mold changed in 11 years.

Ha! Awesome!

Butt you are correct about the "should find a buyer" bit; apparently there are plenty of limp Richards out there who would actually replace a better intercooler with the stocker, because it ooorrriiggggiiiinnnaaallllll equipment !!!!
