Machine Shop For Heads
I live in central CT and I would like to get my heads rebuilt on my 80 SC. Does anyone know who can do this work and what a fair price to pay is?
thanks-Matt |

Yep, Atlantic Anchor is in south Jersey, Pitman, not far from Philly; I met Bob in person, and he is working on my heads right now; He has quoted me 650-700 for a valve job with new viton seals, new valve guides, flycut heads, etc...He seems to have tons of experience, I would highly recommend him, based on my first impressions.

I gave him a call and he quoted me the same price. I will probably go with him

I use Bob also. Great service, a good price and he turns them around in a couple of days usually.

That's a good price. Steve Weiner did mine a few years ago and I think it was $950. Steve does excellent work as well and the turn around time was very good - much better than Comp. Engineering that did my rockers. They also do good work, but they held up my rebuild by about a month, though I wasn't in a big hurry so it wasn't a big deal.
