Thanks Guys! New cams and rockers refaced, so I'll do the 20 min at 2K rpm then I'll seat the rings.
Then I'll change oil from Gibbs BR to Brad Penn 20w50.

1st oil change

Just got a case of BP 20w50 green oil in, so I'll just need to grab a couple of filters and I'll be ready to change out the BR oil after the break-in.

break in oil

How quick do you plan on dumping the break in oil ? I would not drain it before you have done some dyno maping and some runs with some boost, your rings will seat better if you do, the JGR oil is good for about 50 pulls with a 800 plus Nascar cup engine before it gets beat up so don't be afraid of it.

Thanks Mike, I'll make sure I run the Gibbs BR for a good long while to seat those ringsSmileWavy

Are the fuel and ignition maps ready to go for break in?

I've always wondered how one is supposed to tweak and tune these things on a fresh engine.

Here's a pic of the filter console that replaces the motor mounted oil cooler on the 993 and a random pic from downunder the car while everything is still clean and dry:D

oil inlet conversion tube

Here's a pic of the whole setup for the oil inlet conversion. Fit is a little long due to the 30mm to 16-AN to 16-AN couplers, but instead of cutting it down I used the extra length to tie it downSmileWavy

Slow leak at rt fuel rail

Now that I've got the oil cooler conversion done I've found a small leak at the rt fuel rail (4-5-6) at the joint at the back going to the regulator. The male convex compression end on the rail had been clamped down hard at sometime in it's previous life creating a grove that allowed fuel to escape under pressure, so I've pulled it off and took a flat bastard to it and will try it again.

If it still leaks then I'll be needing one of these, so if anybody has one laying around that they can part with pls let me know:

Another option would be to saw off the bad fitting and braze on AN fittings.
