Matt, you could have your heads modified for twin plugs, just put a plug in them and twin plug when you have the resoures to go that route.
I love this kind of stuff.

I have almost the exact same project going except I'm starting with a 72T case. I also just got my pump redone by Mark to E spec. Henry supplied my p/c's. Did you have him get the pistons calico coated?

I know doesn't seem like it would do anything to add to performance. I owned the 356 Carreras with twin plugs and when I used the kill switches alternately the RPM would drop about 100 rpm. The engine ran a lot crisper with both plugs firing.
Plus the cool factor of twin plug engines.

No on the coating. I had to draw the line somewhere and the car won't be driven hard like with track of AX work.

Throttle bodies are done now. The long block should be back from Supertec in September.

Hi Matt,

How long did the throttle body restoration take?

Cheers,

Harry.

Supertec does concours restorations on MFI throttle bodies and the turn-around time is generally 2-3 weeks. That's right weeks not months.

Unfortunately the brown paper fresh air hose is NLA. Those came from the dealer but now all they have is the black, plastic coated variety. Still looking for other sources but for now we're screwed.

Thanks Henry, it's a shame as I much prefer the original look, mine have seen better days.

Cheers,

Harry.

Alright! Its cooling off here so I'm thinking of all the things I need to do to get that long block assembled. The MFI pump and tb are ready but I need to clean up the fan, tin and exchangers.
