this is different than the redesigned FRAME mounts, or am I missing the gist of it?
the transmission case has redesigned mounting tabs AS WELL AS redesigned frame tabs or only the frame tabs are redesigned?
I am not qualified to enlighten you.... I'd start a thread asking the question if you want details as I am only recollecting from a phone conversation I had three months ago.

It seems to me this can't be a high-risk problem area or more would know about it, right?

Does Tara Reid eat crackers in bed? Nevermind. I can be flexible.

So, shannon, do you attribute your broken transmission mount tabs (on the aluminum transmission case, NOT the frame tabs, right?) to the crash, or they were cracked/broken already and just sent the damage estimate over the 'totalled' mark?
I recall that thread where someone posted a closeup picture of cracked FRAME tabs that mount xmission to frame, but I don't remember anything about cracked transmission case tabs...

I never said anything about broken tabs... the case itself had a hairline crack... i don't attribute my instance to anything.... I just know it has been recurring issue that BMW dealerships will correct if brought to their attention and that there is no official bulletin.

Start a thread... there's at least one member who can speak more intelligently to this than I can.

No, Chris, no radio-rambo here. In fact, it seems just the opposite; you spout off krap that I suspect you'd never dare to say to someone's face. In my opinion, you reperesent all that's reprehensible about german culture....this IS a free country, so you CAN say what you like (unlike the vaterlandt, where the same thing you put in print here would have the heat knocking on your door and dragging you off to jail; the current german take on free speech is considerably more restrictive than the US's)...but just because you CAN say patently offensive things here doesn't mean you SHOULD.
And let's face it, you talk that trash because you enjoy being a fooker, a prik and a schmuck. I'm sure there a few folks of jewish extraction here that WOULD educate you in person about a few things...put YOUR money/a$$ where your mouth is and let's see the matchup...we could have R1100S BB thunderdome...two S riders enter...one leaves.
Enough damage has been done by german schmucks (such as yourself)to the greater german culture to last several hundred lifetimes...

Maybe I AM a little sensitive about it, being 1/2 german myself; I have a moreal responsibility to the world to demonstrate that not all german-ancestry folks are anti-semite oven-tenders. On the contraty, I find the Israeli tendency to defend themselves against any and all aggession, whenever or whereever it occurs, to be completely natural and refreshing in these PC times. I don't blame 'em a bit; if 6 million of MY ancestors got wasted off the face of the earth, I'd probably have an even MORE 'in your face' attitude about it.
talk schisa all you want, but someday you're gonna run into someone who eill 'splain it to you up close and personal; make sure when that happens you post the results...if you're still alive to tell the tale afterwards...doubtful, if ya ask me (those JDL/mossad types tend to deal with problems in a rather permanent fashion...)

Now back to motorcycles.....

More Tara Reid please.

I'm fairly certain that I'd hit it... and not quit it. I'd rather stay and play...

Jonny just for you you little computernerd that says big words behind his keyboard but like dogs that bark the loudest they don't bite...As for your buddy faber he fits the description because he come out of the blue and wasn't even on my radarscreen...
As for your misconceptions about Germany and "freedoms in "murica" I would say the tables have turned and who knows after another 4 years of Bush who will knock on whose door...
As for the 6 Million everyone is entitled to his/her own believe but according to the Red Cross who did the census in 1930 there where only 2 million jews living in all europe.
With 100000's fleeing between 1933 and 39 6 Million is a factual lie.I did not say that noone got killed but I'm tired of the same lieing numbers and the b.s. stereotype that is still carried around. Why not talk about the genocid of the true americans the indian people or how about the 20 million othodox christians that got killed by the jewish-communists or how about the palestinians that are occupied and killed today?!But anyways I won't say nothing anymore to this theme anymore except if you wan't to talk to me or meet me in person I come often to Washington with the truck...
Give me your phone # and if I/you have time I give you a call and you don't have to buy no ticket but can act yourself...
That is the b.s. with the net or on the radio. The anonymity let's some people who have really nothing to say or can discuss the argument turn their anger into attacks of another person. Those virtual fights suck as they get nothing accomplished and are as satisfying and real as the ones for the kiddies with their computer games and therefore I don't get involved in them...
If you feel the need go in a bar and pick a fight but 2by4 or body bag, come on get real.
Are you sure you ride a beemer and not a jap squid 600?You don't seem to be mature enough for a 1100S...;-)
Anyways if critzising Israel or making a jew joke turns you instantly into some asswhole then there most be something seriously wrong with this overly p.c. society!!
Merry Christmas from someone who not only loves motorcycles but also true freedom and justice as also social and economical justice for all people on earth!
Chris

Last word on this geuting; if you are ever stupid enough to show up here to start trouble with me face to face you'll get as absolutely as much as you can possibly stand. I'm in the phone book but I don't advise landing on my doorstep; the next step you'll take after that mistake will be your last...if you're on my property. In washington state, unlike california, I have the right to deal with you in a fashion that cali doesn't allow anymore. heed that warning. period.
Fool.

I'm having lots of fun baiting a schmuck; notice I didn't say I would bloody the guys' mug, just that someday, spouting that krap, he'd for sure run into someone who would.
Then he wants ME to go toe-to-toe with 'im; can't take the heat of his own making, I guess. I had to point out what the consequences would be of such a foolish action on his part.
That's OK, time tends to wound all heels; I'm sure he'll run into someone else who will educate him well before I have to.
I have looked at tara; quite a tasty unit; that 'soft-damp' rear suspension is obviously long-travel, and the pneumatic units on the front of the scoot look to be crafted for apparance as well as performence.
Hmmm...maybe a road-test? Can I have the unit for a quick blast around the block; initial riding impressions and all, 'yknow. Wil it do a wheelie? what are the max fuel-flow figures for it in top gear?

Oh, Geuting, you idiot... Don't you know how to look up a member's profile here? I don't have to hide behind anything.
But do abide by the friendly advice I gave you.

Yeah. BUT I've had two people write me by EMail thanking me for standing up to the neo-Nazi crap on this forum that had already driven them deep into lurk-only status.

Anybody who thinks there's a moral equivelency between Hitler and Sharon is disturbed enough. Now he minimizes the Holocaust. Throw him off the damn board!
