I was able to watch 10 minutes of the first period last night and then our internet took a crap :mad: So I wasn't able to watch the rest , sounds like the 3rd period was a barn burner :D Will be interesting to see how the Canes react for game two .

Two things sealed it for Da Broons: Rask was spectacular(Flat & the rest of the 'goal-tenders union' were celebrating) in the 2nd;
penalty trouble for the Canes in the 3rd. The final score belied the nature of the game. This one will go 7

I think the officiating has been crap for some of the playoffs this year. Last night included.

Game 2 will tell the tale. When McAvoy is back, Chara is healthy and Rask & the #1 like keeps cranking it could be 4. Otherwise I could easily see 6 or 7.
I am interested to see if the Canes will stick with Mrazek all the way through.

In the meantime, there some things that never change:

After watching the Blues dominate in game 7, and then be dominated last night, I think the Sharks might be unstoppable.

The Sharks looked phenomenal last night but it's just one game , how the Blues react in game two will tell the story in my opinion . Same for the Canes they need to set the tone in game two .

Rask is playing lights out hockey! Everything is clicking for the Big Bad Broons. Even Marchand is behaving himself when Williams tried to maul him to get him upset.

yup, but I'm very disappointed in the 'Canes. I now have the game on as background for house chores.

Momentum is a crazy thing ....... it's there and then it is gone . I really thought the way the Canes were playing they were almost unstoppable. Game three is now a must win for them . I am hoping for a better effort from the Blues in game two .
