1966 Mustang with the 200ci straight 6 and non synchro 3 speed (2.77 Dagenham). I destroyed the transmission by forcing it into first when the single bowl brake master cylinder failed dramatically on a 4 lane with a 55mph speed limit and stop lights. I had to "coax" it into gear to slow down enough to weave between the cars going perpendicular to me as I ran the red light. Put in the 3.03 3 speed from a 289 Mustang. Eventually put a 3x1 Offenauser intake on it and a 6 into 2 header. I still have it in the garage but it needs floors and a new clutch, which is a pain because it was s single year only clutch to mate the 6cyl to the V-8 three speed. The clutch isn't the issue, finding the correct throw out bearing is..... I may just swap in a Coyote 5.0. The rear end has already been done.

Looks exactly like this but had faded paint and a cherry red front fender in high school.

1968 Ford Country Squire

Called it The Tank because it would go anywhere the pickups and 4x4s could.
Makes you fearless when your car only cost $1.00

Bicycled each day to high school, then to work, about 10 miles per day total. Stuck with self propelled motion, including a skateboard, until the end of college when I bought a yellow 1976 HONDA Super Sport 400F which had about 6 previous owners.

Bunch of rich kids here. Since I lived only 5 blokcs from the high screw-all, I walked. Dad let me use the '56 4 door Roadmaster from time to time...a very uncool car, so I didn't ask often.

1st year of college, a '50 Ford coupe.

This is my car from high school. Father bought it new when he got back from Nam. My sister came home from the hospital in it and it was our only family car growing up. Although it needs some work now, Its the only thing i have that i will never part with.

The first car I drove was my dad's hand-me-down 1962 Plymouth Valiant (a prince of a car ).

After about six months of the humiliation of driving this POS I bought myself a 1960 VW Bug.

My first ride was a 1964 Valiant Wagon, ugly, with a 225 slant six and a push button transmission. My Dad sniffed at the 62s, said they looked "like they had been designed by a cake decorator." But he thought his '64 was a fine sweet ride.

Nope. I walked or bicycled for years before getting my license. I knew if I wanted "wheels" of my own by then...

I worked hard mowing lawns to pay for half of that Jeep by the time I was 17....

The Cougar was dad's
