Did you ever wonder if one or both your parents were space aliens?
I did, especially when a voice would crack.
Oops, they accidentally used their real voice! Quickly, they attempt cover it up with a cough and go back to their fake human voice. But...I was on to the game. I read a Calvin n Hobbes once, dealt with the same thing. I think it had to do with dinner being so bad Calvin couldn't believe humans would do such a thing. I must not be alone. Kid's, they be imaginin' things. |

Not my parents, no. They were pretty great, even when they made me eat turnips or kale. Yuck.
My wife accuses me of being a space alien all the time, but I think it is her. It took us way too long to find each other, but we are alike in so many ways it is like some extratrestrials designed her for me. I do have to admit is is fun to make her wonder about me sometimes.

My parents are not aliens.
My father is Larry David in real life. My wife and I watch Curb our enthusiasm and are laughing more at the fact that we witness all the stupidity in that show in real life.

I went to school with a girl and her parents looked like Frankenstein and his bride, all that was missing was the bolts in their necks. They also looked so old, really old, like the crypt keeper.
I was scared poopless of them right into my teens. Maybe they were aliens.

I think space aliens would make an effort to fit in, to at least appear to be human, that would be a major step up from my dad.

My parents (rest in peace) adamantly insisted they were abducted by space aliens once. They were traveling by car at night on a two-hour trip that they swear only took a few minutes. They both insisted they got into the car to pull away and only seconds later they arrived at their destination. Neither had any recollection of the trip. None. They don’t remember talking to each other or anything. They were seriously spooked like it was some kind of catch-and-release operation. The time just vanished. They both claim they were shocked asking each other how they got here so fast.
For years and years they never varied once from that story. |
