I’ll bite, what exactly are we looking at. Looks like a turbine of some sort. A big one at that, too.

One thing I learned when I fly at night, in the foothills, in a 150 with not many options. I always make a high approach. The ol C-150 heavy just doesn’t have the power to get yurself out of trouble.

Set up for a five mile straight in, trim for speed and let her fly itself to the numbers. Very relaxing trip home, quiet.

Has anyone ever used the “Sheppard Air” study program for test prep?

Sheppard Air study program is very, very popular with military pilots doing the Mil Comp conversions for their civilian certs.

LOL, that is exactly who I heard it from. Any idea as to why it’s so popular with the military folks?

If I understand it, this is serial #1. It was the demo plane. Powered by a V-8 with a reduction gearbox. This particular one was sold years ago and the new owner forgot to drop the gear and landed on the belly. The new owner acquired it only a few years ago, sold the engine and has plans of installing a better power plant.
The design is wicked fast and has the look of a small 51. Like many good plans, who knows if it will get finished.

Here is what the owner had to say on it

“The Make is a Prowler and the model is the Jaguar. Last flew in ‘96 Most out there today are LS3 powered. 2 seat tandem with 300 mph vne and 250 cruise. Fun little plane for sure with a fairly mild 60 mph stall.”

Here is a link to the plane when it was still a company.

Because it works. I completed my ATP written and practical along with 737 type using Sheppard Air along with two other guys that day. I also know countless others over the past few years who have used it with excellent results. We've all scored 94+ on the ATP written which is a testament to its effectiveness.

Perfect, thanks.

A coworker who flys at the Air National Unit at Mather Field told me about it awhile ago. I just installed it on me laptop so I will get cracking.

Just found it interesting that after all of the prep programs, I just recently found out about this one by word of mouth.
