Thank you,
I reworked my post to better accurately reflect what I was trying to ask.

Peter Jackson and Adam Savage have a WW1 British aircraft mystery that they would like the public to help solve....Who Is This Guy shown in the portrait found secreted in a wing that was subsequently stored in a barn for 100 years?

Peter Jackson....

The Red Baron's uncle, also named Richthofen, built a castle in the Montclair area of Denver, CO a long time ago. It's still there, although hugely remodeled to look 'Tudor'.

There was a replica red triplane in the yard along with a bar in the lower level and some period furniture.

Peter came by and took it all, shipped it home. Reportedly paid huge money.

A few years ago I visited the Omaka Aviation Museum in Blenheim, New Zealand where Peter Jackson keeps much of his collection. A must see if you are ever in those parts.

This is my great uncle in the plane he built.

Sentry

Actually any of the ones available and it’s reliability, accuracy, power source (battery or hard wired) and ability to interface with whatever electronic E6B device your using.

Feel free to expand on where it is mounted horizontal, vertical and orientation to the aircraft. What has or hasn’t worked for you particular situation or even issues you’ve encountered with reception on a high or low wing.

Cheers

And for good measure, it you want to through in some info on the ADS-B “out” you have installed, going to install and thinking of installing. Just think of this as an all around ADS-B topic[emoji6]

I installed a Lynx 9000+ in my Cirrus SR22 a couple of years ago and it has performed flawlessly. Integrated transponder, ADS-B in and out, nice touchscreen, wireless to my phone and tablet, integrates with my Collision Avoidance system and feeds some data to the MFD. A bit on the pricey end of the scale, but well worth it I think.

Peter Jackson also started WingnutWings, a model company known for highly detailed (and kinda pricey) WW1 scale models.....

Here's an unbelievable stopmotion vidoe of someone building a little WingnutWings D.VII Fokker.

Well,
It seems that we sacrificed another plane to the angry Placerville Airport god of mischief[emoji849]

Cessna Cardnal stalled out on departure. I was told the pilot was only injured but haven’t been able to talk with the manager. We seem to loose a couple each year. On the upside, it seems that the steep sloping hillside has benefited a few pilots and allowed the planes to bleed off energy rather coming to an abrupt stop on flat ground. Just as long at you don’t take a tree head-on.

If you look long enough you’ll find some interesting pages in the FMCG.

Any insight into what the issue there is/was?

Unfortunately, I have no idea. He sold it when he go to be too old to fly it any more and he passed away 25 years ago.

No, but Milwaukee had an event with the Thunderbirds the same weekend and I suspect that had some to do with it.

They did have a couple water bombers demonstrate, that was cool.

Someone really likes Mooney aircraft.
