Went to the family pizza place a couple of weeks ago and the server was complaining that a customer had demanded a vegan pizza...
How in the heck does that work?

Maybe they can set up a George Foreman grill on top of the trash receptacles.

Alright. I sort-of understand the vegan's perspective. You're buying a meat-free burger out of principle.
BUT you're in f-in Burger King! If you're really worried about contamination don't you think it should be on you to check whether it's cooked on the same grill BEFORE you eat it? I mean, they're not advertising that it's suitable for vegans, only that it's a plant-based burger. Does it really matter anyway? Sure, avoid meat products for your conscience, but (again) you're in BURGER KING. What? You mean they've had meat products in the same building! I really don't see what damage has been done that couldn't be put right with "Oh. I'm sorry" and maybe refund the cost of the meal.
Bringing back dueling should resolve these stupid claims. Accept an apology face-to-face, or swords at dawn 'till first blood. Should be popular with vegans.

For the record, I actually like the 'Impossible' burgers. There was a restaurant here which did a blackened, pepper crusted impossible burger with blue cheese and blueberry dressing and it was delicious. Compared to the beef version, the impossible version seemed to have more flavor. Since the big chains have adopted the impossible burger, the small guys can't get them in sufficient quantity anymore.

The really hardcore vegans I know did it more on principal of not supporting the meat industry.
When you look into it, it's kinda ****ed up of the treatment of the animals. Especially on how intelligent the animals are. People write dissertations on it.
Cooked on the same grill.... Lol retarded

Is it stated on the menu that it’s not compatible with a vegan diet?
The lawsuit is BS. Just write to the management and move on.

I just have to take a contrary position on something here. You’re Burger King. You offer both possible (people eat tasty animals) burgers, and impossible (better living thru chemistry) burgers, the latter using plant substances! You’re Burger Effing King! You’re the master of your domain! How could you...how could you cook your tasty burgers on the same grill as those plant-based thingies?

I feel for people with dietary issues or those who choose certain diets but this is bs. My oldest daughter owns an Italian restaurant. Everything is cooked in butter, cream, etc. She does offer gluten free dough on some things but not pasta as her husband the chef makes it all scratch. The baker makes gluten free anyway so doing the pizza's is pretty easy. The number of people who come in and demand a vegan dish is few but they are pushy as all hell. She basically has to tell them to go somewhere else and makes a few recommendations and is relieved when they walk out the door.

You can't be a vegan and eat a veggie burger with the bun. The buns are made with milk and eggs. I tried vegan for about a week. Can't be done. At least not for me.

I love a good old fashioned burger. The vegan thing (according to my vegan friend) is about not being cruel to animals.
I'm OK with that but I refuse to feel guilty for doing something that we've always done.

Also, a few years ago I lived with a vegetarian. We had two refrigerators side by side in the kitchen.
Guess who was paying the electricity bill.

You guys are using the word "grill" a lot here...Um...Burger King hasn't had a "grill" in a LONG time.

Now, they do have a sterilized metal heated surface which imparts some heat and color to processed meat-stuffs, and then they have some plastic trays that hold the meat-stuffs until they get cold, then they have a microwave to make the meat-stuffs lava hot before putting the meat-stuffs into a bag where they then become cold again...

But they ain't got no grill.

I think Burger King should sue the bit** for trying to cast them in a bad light intentionally.

I know a vegan also but am too afraid to ask:
What is the official vegan stance on eating insects?

Not always.
My son has rheumatoid arthritis. He was faced with drug infusions every few months at a cost of over $500 each (to him, over and above insurance), plus taking a day off for it, plus the daily drugs. At the suggestion of his doctor he tried an animal protein-free diet. It worked. Inflammation is way down and he only takes one drug.
He doesn't exactly like the diet, but it's better than the alternative.
He loves the Burger King veggie burger.

Great news about your son Patrick. A dietary change is much better than drugs.

Yes. He was a major carnivore, too. Big change for him. It pisses him off when he's at a restaurant going over the menu, asking the server questions as he's looking for an animal protein-free meal and people think he's some kind of tree hugger.
