Here is a great animation on how the "potato digger" works. Pretty ingenious, really.

It is the exif data on the photos - your ipad viewer rotates properly, browser on desktops don't.

is it time to talk about the Auto-5 yet?

I had 2 (20 & 12) but will agree they are not nearly as pretty as an over & under

Auto 5's are as ugly as a mud fence, until you are Goose hunting on the Potomac.

Amazing shotgun. I have two. Why did you sell? Pretty means zippy in the field, btw.

I wasn't doing any bird hunting so sold them.

If you work on your skills you don't need 5 shots anyway (for hunting)...

Here's some more info on it:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Browning_Auto-5

Yes, when a shotgun has its own wiki, you know it is significant...

We actually hunt and shoot, a lot. Come to my farm and shoot, test your skills. It won't work out the way you think. You are welcome any time.

Maryland limits hunters to three rounds and requires a plug to limit the number of rounds.

I have never loaded more than two rounds for any bird hunts.

If you want to work on your skills, like I said, we're here.

The free air museum at Hill AFB would also have been worth a visit...

Is it an aluminum one or steel?

If I get to Arizona or Utah, I'm going to one of those shoot 'em up places and let rip with a Browning M2.
