I'm afraid to work on my project car because invariably I spend much more money than I plan to.

Take my truck- what started out as simply a new stereo (for more EQ flexibility) turned into literally everything replaced- new front speakers, new (to me) amps, radio and all the associated support. From hundreds to $1K, like that. Slippery slope.

Now I'm done, I put truck away instead of driving it.

I try to make time for the 911. It's such a fun car to drive. The past few months most of my driving has been for pleasure because of the stay-at-home order so I've been cruising in the 911 quite a bit and ignoring my daily. Now I feel guilty and should go drive the 5er

I combine adventures. When the dogs are being taken for their morning run I take the SC for it's run at the same time. It gets taken out at least twice a week. I find if it gets driven less than that it gets a bit snarly.

Just got the SC running again ! This will be a good year for P car driving . Hopefully, I can keep it up and enjoy them all again .
Im trying to also put up a small shop at home this season, so that tinkering with my stuff at home will be relaxing and peaceful instead of feeling like I am at work

We determined this exact number in this thread.

How many cars would you own if garage space was not an issue?

The answer was 4.

Has your 911 become a garage trophy that you never drive?

The minute you make your 911 a clothes hanger treadmill, that is the beginning of the end.

Never ever put stuff blocking your car. It should be ready to drive at a moments notice.

It's critical to drive your car to work once a week, or every 2 weeks at most. Winter can space that longer based on rain cleaning salted road. And if you need to convince yourself to drive it, that's the aha moment if why do you even own it still? The past is gone. Always move forward

Do I struggle? Ever fckin' day. Today it's the damn fish pond. Chipmunks chewed a hole in the liner somewhere near where the bricks are in the picture. I have to take the whole damn thing apart to find the hole. Majorly pissed, and yes, this puts project work off for a week. I haven’t driven my 56 coupe in 10 years. I don’t even have time to get it ready for sale. Arghhhh!

yup - if Leno hasn't established the upper limit, then Jerry Seinfeld has

my understanding is that Seinfeld has several Porsches stashed at airports (2? 5?) in the US so he can fly there and drive them when he arrives

not to mention the expensive Manhattie real estate he converted into a garage

Awesome pic, Bill! Give the pups a belly rub for us, please!

I cant drive mine to work and it snows like 9 months a year where I am. In the summer, I do not always like to go anywhere on the weekends

while I do go for "a ride" once and a while, I try to use the 911 anytime im off work and the weather is right to run my errands. Ive especially been doing this the last 7 weeks. Today I drove it to the deli to get a jar of my favorite pickles....If I have to go to home depot etc....I use the 911, and instead of going to the home depot by my house, ill go to the one that's farthest from my house and I always take the long way home.

ultimately though, ive gone from about 5k miles per year to less than 2K miles per year. However, I love it more than I ever have and continue to make upgrades to it every year and will continue to do so

Thanks, Patrick. Hope you can use this thread as motivation, yourself.

You know these two cars are so different in the way they drive. I don't usually drive them both on the same day either so that was a little weird.

Both fun to drive but ultimately I really like driving the tub more.

Just did, and told them it's all the way from Florida - thanks Baz.

Both the boys are looking a little more handsome than when the pic was taken. I did a "coat king" on their coats then used my haircutting scissors and buzzer to do their legs and tummies, and trim out their chumpy chops. Ten years younger I say.

I keep my 88 cab and 77 930, at my house in town, away from all the salt air at my home. I bring the 88 home every weekend to do a little here and there to get her up to snuff. When I got her last November, she needed a lot of TLC. I buffed the paint to make her shiny, but the scratches are really deep.

Unfortunately, my 930 is stuck in the one stall garage. My sister who lives next door has built a wall around the car so I cannot get her out. The wall is made up of those large black and yellow storage containers, stacked 3 high! Just the other day she told me it is hard to reach things at the top, or to put the containers back.
