I would love to build a 1964 Ferrari 250LM. There was once a kit car for it, but I think it was in England.

Not really knowing them, but on looks alone, I’d go for the following, in no order.

And this is interesting.

A C-Type Jag would be great

To build a GT40 with a Coyote motor wouldn't sound like a GT40

When I built my kit car, having owned two pre- built ones prior, I decided that I wouldn't build a replica. My reasoning was that on a restricted budget the kits don't look exactly right, often the chassis were not torsionally rigid enough by today's standards hence really modern suspension and tyres would not work well enough for hillclimbing ,and the cost of reproduction body fittings was very high. I chose a full bodied kit with a trunk, rather than a Locaterfield Seven style for comfort distance driving to events, and something that would take a V8 because 22 years ago motorcycle engined cars had not come to the fore yet in the UK ( and there are nowadays plenty of 4 cylinder engines that will put out power like V8 s, at a price). Bear in mind that back then, competitive open kitcars had only a vestigial windscreen, below the height that required windshield wipers and a demister system to pass inspection for road use. There was a Caterham like kit available in the UK that would take a V8 ,and had 4wd. It was a formidable hillclimber, but what it's road comfort was like I don't know

Lancia Stratos

A replica 1970’s Lancia Stratos with a Ferrari V8 or a Toyota derived 2GR-FE V6 engine.

People in the UK that built Stratos replicas usually used the Alfa V6 but I did see an unfinished one with the Honda V6.

I built a kit car, guess it could be called a replica of a 60's 2 seater enclosed bodywork Caterham type of car

Only car I've ever built for myself, was made up of parts from 21 different other cars ranging from a McLaren F1 to a Mini

Weighed 530kgs wet and had 185bhp, or 350bhp/ton. It's the only car I've owned that made adrenaline flow even before I'd even got it out of the garage. 130 mph without a windscreen and wearing ski googles made for an exciting ride.

I decided to sell it after I had a minor accident which end with me being an arms length from being decapitated by a strand of barbed wire

A SWB Audi Quattro Sport would be at the top of my replica to build list

Any pictures of your creation, Captain?

A Beck 550 with a Porsche flat six would be my first choice.

Given the current state of robotics I s'pose I could make do with this:

Lots of cool options... I do love the FFR stuff, they are a great company from what I can tell. A guy at my work built a Stratos with the Alfa V6, it is the nicest build I have ever seen.

I think I would wander between a Cobra, GT40 and the Countach... I just love the 80's space shipness of the Lambo.

The Cobra would be the most affordable of the lot.

I would love a Stingray split window on a modern daily drivable platform.
