Much as i would like a pretty replica, I think I would have to settle for something simple.

One of the local acquaintances I have always wanted a Superformance made Cobra Coupe. It is truly a work of art, and really cool looking car. He does not drive it much because it is horrible uncomfortable, hot and noisy. But dang does it look good.

I would guess most of the folks on this board want a 904 with a flat 6. Try to go sit in one if you are a normal 6 foot tall American male. It is like putting on a rubber glove, and you wear the car. Once again just a gorgeous but just not a car one wants to drive much.

I guess I am just a grumpy old practical man. My 85 Carrera is the perfect car for me. I can drive it in the summer heat, or winter cold, and have the experience of really driving a car, and not just operating the controls of a computer that does the driving. So I guess I have my perfect replica, only it is a genuine version of the purest form of driving. There is no substitute.

In my early yoot, I saw a fly yellow cobra with white stripes in a car magazine.
I dreamed of building one just like it for at least 40 years.
Pretty sure it's out of my system tho.

Imagine this car, with a supercharger and enderle injector hat about even with the top of the windscreen

Have the Cobra replica already so I would next do a HF Stratos then a GT-40. I also wouldn't mind a replica of one of Rod Hall's old Dodge Baja truck with a Keith Black small block.

Assisting on a FFR Cobra build right now. Very straightforward.

If I could build what I can only dream about:

The FFR is a very hard kit to ignore.... they have done an amazing job of creating an evolutionary kit.

Some of the stuff from RCR is cool too, like the XJ13

If I were to do a Cobra all over again I would do a JBL. They are not "correct" but in the spirit of things they would be a hoot to drive.

^^^ THIS!!!

I have looked at them and it'd be cool to build, but no interest in owning a kit car. It would be like owning a fake rolex that you screwed together yourself.

Still... I'd rather take an old Seiko and make it run better!

I want better gearing in my 911, and a slightly lowered powerband with good throttle response.

So a driving replica of an RS.

One of the regulars at Portland Cars and Coffee has some over-the-top, beautifully done replicas and kits.

In a heartbeat

I would be sacrilegious and set it up as a grand touring car: softer suspension, sound deadening, AC, stereo, cup holder, etc. It is nearly impossible to use a car like this as it should be BUT the thing is so beautiful it the world would be a better place with more on the road. And it would even make me look good inside of it.
