One of the local gun shops had ammo. All kinds, but I asked about the 12 guage target ammo and was quoted $25 per box. The same stuff that was $5.99 last year. Didn’t bother asking what the pistol ammo cost.

I ordered a gun online and they were handling the transfer. When I went back two days later they were sold out of the shotgun shells, they had maybe 20 boxes. So someone is willing to pay that much.

I’m just reloading 28 gauge now, I’m still waiting for a new tool set to reload .410. I’m just trying to stretch the powder and lead to make it last.

I’ve been able to buy 28 gauge shells online, the problem is the places I buy from are limiting the amount you can buy to 2 or 3 boxes. Unless you have other things to buy the shipping charges get pretty high.

overpriced but available is a step forward.

the local shop is limiting purchases to two boxes per day. my neighbor bought in the morning and then tried again that afternoon. they busted him.

20, 28 and 410

Doesn't do much good if you can't get primers though.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1617049579.jpg

Heard a rumor that our local Cabelas received a decent sized shipment of ammo today.

Stopped by at lunchtime and picked up 800 rounds of 9mm WWB for $.35 / round.

Twice what they are worth but way less than they could be.

Time to hit the range!

It's out there, just keep listening and looking.

Even with inflation, that is about 5 times what WWB 9mm is worth...

2007, I was paying $4.99 for 50 rounds of WWB, from Walmart. Adjusting for inflation since 2007, the price should be 34.4% higher or $6.70 per box of 50.

My 2.3% per year over states inflation. Closer to 1.85%

found a can of .308 in the closet. my rifle is picky and didn't iike to feed this particular brand. so it's been gathering dust for five years.

took it to the gun store and sold it for half again what i paid. they were really happy to see me. the place looked like a hurricane had swept through.

Arizona_928 04-02-2021 11:18 AM

Half what you paid!
Could have sold it for 3x what you paid!

varmint 04-02-2021 11:26 AM

Half again.

Bought for about two hundred. Sold for three.

Probably could have done better off craigslist/Facebook. But then I’d of had to deal with craigslist/Facebook bull****.

Think they had a buyer for it by the time I left the store.

Arizona_928 04-02-2021 11:37 AM

Eh. That's all banned for ammo selling.
Only place is really armslist and last i checked the weren't taking new accounts and started charging 7 dollars a month.

varmint 04-02-2021 11:38 AM

Ammo and guns are all over facebook. Search “hole puncher”.

I don't have SM. But that's funny.... Risk of banning by their policies to spread some 2A for all.

Trade for 2x4s ...

cabmandone 04-02-2021 03:39 PM

I almost shot a groundhog with my 9mm today... but then I remembered how much the ammo costs. :)

Por_sha911 04-02-2021 05:59 PM

If a bad guy wants to steal your wallet & watch it is cheaper to hand it to him than empty your gun with self defense ammo.

Por_sha911 04-02-2021 06:02 PM

To save money on ammo, just get a laser sight

That is a variation of a Chris Rock joke...make ammo 5K around...guy says I would shoot you but I am saving up to buy the bullet.
