I went to my favourite gun/reloaders supplies shop to buy a whole lot of .223 cases, powder and projectiles. He seemed to answer every question with the word no. I thought he would have been keen to sell some stuff. He sure seemed a bit grumpy and very negative. Oh well, I just put my wallet back in my pocket and will buy the same stuff online from someone else.

Maybe, just maybe, he was grumpy because he had a good customer wanting to spend a lot of money and he can't get the inventory to sell it to him.

-or-

He thought "Who is this clueless fool who expects to find these products available with what has been going on in the last year?"

(pick one)

(I've just eaten a huge plateful of humble pie) Yes I may need to wait another 6 months...

A bit of both maybe LOL

I thought all those type guns and stuff were outlawed in New Zealand?

Bill Douglas 04-04-2021 11:56 AM

No, the place is full of guns LOL

Only AR15 sort of guns. But you can have a special licence endorsement to own one if you want to.

I've only got a dozen or so but friends are right up there in the 200 or more. That's including Uzis, Thompson machine guns, Browning .50 cal machine guns. Even a school kid can go out and buy a .50 cal bolt action gun and ammo.

What do we have to do to keep guns away from fast food drive through customers

WTF????
Some nitwit is pissed at the length of time it takes to get through a fast food line and is "JUSTIFIED" in whipping out a semiautomatic to hose down the non humans working for minimum wage - REALLY, we want to make guns that available.

Words fail me,
littleman

The guns are not the problem. Likewise, we have plenty of laws about improper/illegal use of guns.
The problem is that they get a light sentence in our courts IF they get sentenced at all.

The Synergizer 04-04-2021 05:24 PM

Yep, simple solution, that woman gets a minimum five years, no deals. Ten if she hit the milkshake machine...

Who ever said that was justified and who wants to make guns available to people like that? Show me one person who thinks someone like that should have a gun. I'll go way out on a limb and make a wild guess that she has a lengthy rap sheet, cannot legally own that gun, did not acquire it legally (though I bet she could have because NICS wouldn't catch her) and will probably skate on this charge once she's collared. But go ahead and blame the every day gun owner, who's never thought of committing a crime.

Yep! That's exactly how I feel about it! 100%... ya busted me.

It would have been better had words actually failed you.

I recently bought a 28/410 gauge combo over and under. I’ve been reloading 28 guage for a while so I was good there. I managed to get some 410 powder and wads, but I’ve been waiting for over a month for a 410 tool set for my reloading machine. I called the company yesterday and said they may have some out in a month.

They are still 6 months behind on reloading machines.

I shoot in a twice a month sporting clays sub guage tourney. The club is out of ammo, so I’m guessing it won’t be as crowded this year. If they can stay open.

When I first read that story about the woman shooting into a fast food place i thought it had to be in Charlotte. Around here the drug thugs do all the shooting and get their guns (virtually all stolen) out of the trunks of gun-runner's cars. The paper and tv news runs these stories almost daily around here. Mostly gangs, and there seem to be lots of them. Running gun battles in the streets and lots of drive- bys. Crazy times.

Ordered .357 bullets today. 12 week delivery but still no primers.

I ain't worried about it...

Rick Lee 04-08-2021 09:07 AM

Top Gun Supply had a decent deal on cases of 9mm yesterday. I think $600 for 1000 plus $53 for shipping.

dmcummins 04-08-2021 09:33 AM

Shells are starting to show up occasionally at the local Walmart . But you have to be quick, the shelves are emptied pretty quick. Hopefully the guys clearing out the shelves will eventually have their fill and they will become more available.

The guys I shoot with have been getting some now and then.

I also see where my order for 5000 primers is finally being filled. With what I have, that should last me for a few years.
