G'day!
|
Can anyone help ID these things?
I don't think they are rivets.
I have a half a small peanut can of them. TIA!

Perhaps spikes for a tripod?
The threads would provide adjustment. Just guessing. Best Les

![]() Baz If you don't mind me asking, how do you end up with half a small peanut can of stuff and you don't know what it is?

Looks like some sort of anchor, like a manual version of this:

They are galavanized, so probably meant to go outdoors. Maybe fence hardware, or fasteners for metal siding, like on a barn or something.

Sent the pic off to my oldest brother who is a machinist and metal fabricator.
He said some kind of drive anchor. Said the little curly things were some kind of 90 degree clasp someone came up with. I will update the thread as I discover more info.....

Don't know about the bent wire things, but both the threaded piece and pin with sharp points might be devices used to transfer hole locations from one work piece to another. I used something similar to line up thru holes for screws with their threaded counterparts on a removable panel for a cabinet. Screw or press the pin into a hole in one piece, then when you bring the two pieces together, a witness mark for a mating hole is left by the sharp point.

IDT the links and the pins are related.
The hooks look like something from an old style overhead garage door spring. I've seen those someplace and I've been thinking about it since yesterday. And the more I look at the pins the more I see a masonry drive anchor. The washer moves up as it is driven to depth. Probably powder actuated type tool. |
