Vaccines should never be mandatory but I would encourage everyone to get vaccinated.

Think of it this way...
- What percentage of the population needs to get vaccinated to eradicate a virus?

I don't know but the more people that get vaccinated the better it is for everyone.

(I've had my first shot of Pfizer and the second is due on Thursday)

I voted yes. I went to elementary public school in the 50s and I remember polio shots, vaccines in a sugar cube, and the vaccine gun.

Consensus? Just Curious? Could end up in basement?

If this were a work meeting, you would be required to provide lunch.

I agree with jyl, if you're not vaccinated you shouldn't get publicly funded help fighting the disease now.
why don't you just put them in camp's..
you'll feel so much safer...
while your added..
just add those other things that annoy you..
then you can have the place all to your special self..

local Hospitals here..
if we mandate..
we will have too curtail services..
close floors...
doesn't take much to hooble a unit..
couple folks here and there...
and it's over..

as for the VA..
if you've been there..
you'll note a good portion of it's staff..
is already compromised..
old..fat..with laundry list of maladies..
shuffling in the halls..
and those old agent Orange folks in lobby aren't helping..

Where are you in Texas.

Houston Methodist made it mandatory. 153 employees left or were fired after refusing to become vaccinated. 24,947 chose to be vaccinated.

My dad spent several years in the Lawton/Ft Sill VA center. He received far better care than the nursing home he had been in. He initially couldn't get in due to a wait list. The staff was exceptional and were not old/fat/malady of issues. I don't know if my experience is an outlier.

Camps

Good idea

We know those selfish bastards won’t comply voluntarily.

Maybe a catch and release deal.

Snatch em off the streets or out of their beds in the middle of the night.

Jab em on they way into camp, hold them for two weeks and jab em on the way out.

Oh, and they have to us vaca or sick time if they want to be compensated for the time.

I don't think I've seen an obese provider at the VA. Sure some of them are thicc, but i think that's just a female trend. Most of the fat ppl at the VA are MSA's and other very unhealthy veterans. Think Bob from that 70's show. I volunteer a lot at the phx VA so that's just my observations.

The plan here is for the kids to go back to school in September.
I can't see how they cannot be made to vaccinate as with all the other shots they have to get.

22 years in the Army and many many vaccines that I had not choice in to include Anthrax, yellow fever, the Plague.

My personal fav was Small Pox for a second time in my life. Why??? The pox was eradicated but some genius in Medical Command needed an ego stroke so even those previously vax got a second round. Thanks

For me it is personal. The mixed messaging and inability of this administration to just give the facts makes me dig my heels in even more. When your Pres and VP both said during the campaign that they wouldn't get Trump's vax that was very stupid as now they are on the front line trying to get everyone to get the vax.

I agree with whomever on here said carrot vice stick. No doubt that would work better.

Just the facts please and also someone just address whether those previously infected should get vax or whether it is necessary.

I heard Gavin Newsome yesterday getting bent bc Californians are only 70% vax. Jeez, if that is true he should be celebrating.

What gets me about this whole vax deal is, historically, the vast majority of your "anti vaxx" crowd has been from the Left side of the spectrum. "You can't force me to vaccinate my children! They are my kids not yours!! " The whole" our body our choice" deal...
Now the majority of pro vaxxers are from the Left. Not all but most.. They are the ones trying to shove it down everyone's throat and force it on the population.

As for all the other vaccinations that keep being brought up, those are ones that have been around for decades, if not over a century. They are proven and the effects well known and documented. Huge difference from the C19 vax.

I love the govt numbers stating 99% of new cases and hospitalizations are from the unvaccinated.
GIVE ME A BREAK!!! Why don’t they say 150% makes about as much sense as their BS 99%...
The govt has been forthright with us all along, right? Just like the death from COVID counts..

Libs are so naive....
