Emergency tire inflator.. what do you use/recommend?

It's a Volvo wagon, battery is at the back. I will put something in the rear. But I'm going on a 1,500 mile trip Monday.

I wanted the option of AC/DC. Comes in a nice case - $70

I've been pondering an AC/DC option to keep around the house as well. I'm sure the Kensun stuff is made in China (saw some identical looking parts with other brand names on Amazon) but apparently, it is (or at least has a website that says so) a US based company.

I have Viair compressors in a couple of my cars. They work really well. Battery clamps are better than a Light plug. The inline gauge is accurate enough.
They have a few price points - off the top of my head I think I have the 300 model.

A quality tool that works well and doesn't take up much space.

Since I have a Ryobi One blower, hedge trimmer and screw gun I already had the batteries so I picked up the inflator at HD for $37. Or you can get this one with battery and charger. Works great!

For jump starting I have one of the small battery packs I picked up at Costco for around $60.

I thought about going with Dewalt since I have an abundance of batteries but the battery boost and air compressor combined just seems like such a good option that I went that direction.

On a trip with the 911 I carried a high volume bike tire pump. I think I still have it at the shop. She can borrow.

I prefer the 12V...carry a battery powered one and it'll be like a flashlight that is a handy storage unit for dead batteries. A car driven regularly should have a charged battery.

I think it's just the weather. She said all 4 were about the same pressure so it apparently wasn't just one low tire. I told her to keep an eye on it. I'm gonna be up there for the Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest celebration in two weeks so I'll have time to look it over then and school her on using the new air compressor/battery. I might give ya a shout while I'm up that way.

I use a "pony" size SCUBA bottle and the first stage of an old regulator that brings the pressure down to about 120 psi. Works great.

I've used these things to re-air up the tires on my Land Cruiser after lowering pressures for off road use. I've used them to inflate a tire on the 911 after plugging it when it picked up a screw (with a 100 liter tank, this, plus a plug kit, serve as my "spare"). I used it when I had a slow leak in a brand new tire on the Boxster (since fixed). Cheap. Works. Apparently "unavailable" right now, at least from Amazon. Maybe someone else...

I’ve used the Porsche pump out of my Cayenne a few times and it works very well. The ones from the auto parts store don’t. The big ones like some above work well be they’re... big. I plan to find a Porsche one on eBay for the 930 road trips.
