Are you guys hiring for people or something?
It sounds like your hiring manager is crap. |

I have a pretty serious aversion to face tats.
Not a fan. I was mentioning to a buddy this am about a guy that was shot dead in a car-jacking incident nearby. Covered up to his jaw line in tats. If you get decorated like a thug, you may have a nasty ending. My opinion. Those sort of tats are showing your attitude towards the world. Maybe the nicest person ever. But they are putting out a vibe that says otherwise. On purpose. Me? I would be VERY hesitant to hire him. |

First, I would delete the photos in thread. Just in case. Then I would have a conversation with entire management team.
Youre not getting the people you want. You need to figure out why. It may not be what people want to hear but ignoring it wont make it get better. |

It seems that when you decide to cover your head, face, hands with tattoos, you also decided that closing doors is ok with you.

They don't call those tats the "ever lasting job stopper" for nothing...

What does this have to do with race? You don't want gangbangers and thugs working there, put it in the ad - clean criminal background check required, no visible tattoos in work attire. That should weed them out.

I remember what Brian Setzer said about this. "Best advice my dad ever gave me was to never get a tattoo where the judge can see it."

I most likely wouldn't hire the guy.
But... What job was he hired for? What are the job qualifications? Did he meet the qualifications? In a previous job I had daily interactions with a guy from another company. He looked very close to the guy in the picture, though not quite as heavily tatted up. He was as knowledgeable and helpful as anyone else in the organization, probably more so. I would delete the photos. |

Yeah...no!!! I would not feel comfortable working around that guy. I know "they" say don't judge a book by it's cover but I'd be cautious around that one.

I think he'll make a great impression on customers coming in your front door!

I wouldn't consider it a racist remark.

13 = thirteenth letter of the alphabet, "M". Sometimes "marijuana" but most likely "Sureņos" or Mexican Mafia.
He's got the Raiders T-shirt, most likely wearing black Nike "Cortez" shoes also. Probably recently released from prison (due to COVID). There are volunteers who do laser tattoo removal to help ex-cons reenter the workplace but probably a backlog due to, what else, COVID.
