Waldorf Astoria and Wynn are probably going to be over $1,200 for a standard king. Maybe even more, if within walking distance. Personally, this would be a bucket list thing for sure. So $1,600 per night to be able to walk up to an F1 track from my hotel. Yeah, heck yeah. Or if you're facing the track at Bellagio - $2K to $3K would be not unexpected.

Bucket list for me is Monaco or Monza.

I looked into tickets a few years back and it really was reasonable. I'm sure you won't be staying in the Principality though and will need to train out to France daily.

I bet there are some hotels in Sochi that are none too happy these days.

^ I don't think I'd like Monaco. Too cramped. And frankly, Newport Beach is nicer.

I would like to go to Le Mans though. Pass on Russia haha!

And ----

Porsche is joining F! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife went to Monaco, but left me home.

Been to Monaco, even watched part of the race from the pit wall, the speed is nuts and TV is no good at showing how fast the cars are

Also done Monza twice, watched a Fri. practice from the Paddock Club over looking the pits and also watched the 2008 race from the stands. Lots of Polish fans there too so the place erupted when Vettel won in the Torro Rosso and Kubica was 3rd

I'd easily chose Monza over Monaco as a race to go to as the the atmosphere with the tifosi makes it an amazing experience, especially if Ferrari are doing well

In comparison Monaco is a bit sterile and not a lot to do there, unless you're watching from your super yacht surrounded by hot super models and you're invted to all the best cocktail parties

Another plus for Monza is it's an easy train ride from Milan which has Linate an international airport, Lake Como is an easy drive, so you can tack on a mountains/lakes excursion to go with your Euro city break

Italian food is the best too!

Jim, lowyder993s has been to Monza so hopefully he'll see this and share his experience

100% with Rusnak on Le Mans. I'd even consider camping in my 1970's car and be smoking a cigarette while doing some personal hygiene at the communal open air bathroom just like the beginning of the film.

Vegas and F1 on my bucket list. Together? Not sure. They need to keep the real race tracks alive for this long time fan.

I have only been in-person for F1 at two tracks - Indy (2000), and COTA (2014-2021). For me, I find street circuits less interesting to watch than dedicated tracks, in most cases. And compared to the two tracks I’ve been to, visibility of the race on a street circuit is more limited for most viewing.

So, unless someone offers to buy my tickets to the Vegas race, I’ll continue to spend money on tickets for COTA. It’s one of the best venues, and it’s also my local track for HPDE events.

Other than Laguna Seca, most tracks only give you a view of only 1 turn anyway. Laguna lets you walk around, or you can choose to sit and watch your 1 turn.

A street circut, Law Vegas, would do nothing for me. It's all about the money, racing is second. After the Miami fiasco, it might be better.

When I went to the COTA F1 race last year, I was very happy that our seats at turn 12 gave us a view of many other segments of the track. You could always see cars racing.

Not sure if this is an April fool's joke but Nico Rosberg supposedly signed a deal yesterday to replace Nicholas Latifi at Williams. If this is accurate Latifi decided to step down to reserve driver to help the team .

Does Nico still have his Super license? I think it is an April Fool's prank.

Good question . I have found two websites that are reporting the story to be true . I would think this would be a big story . I am thinking April fool's joke unless a official statement comes out .

Monza F1 race experience

We went to Monza in 2016 for the F1 race, Rosberg drove away from the field. Our seats were at the Ascari chicane. The Porsche cup race was very entertaining. Those guys beat on each other like NASCAR in the 70's. Per the Captain I can highly recommend it for a European F1 experience. We stayed in Milan, the food and wine was fantastic.

I have been to almost every road course in the USA including Riverside and a few of the major ovals (Indy, Fontana, Daytona). I prefer Road America and Watkins Glen for the viewing and park like atmosphere. Back in the 80's and 90's you could climb down the hill and get near the track between the kink and Canada corner at RA. It was really something to see the Cart Indycar's at full chat on the straight. DL

Hockenheim has stands all over. The end of lap all the way to turn 1 is just a huge bowl of stands. It is a great place. My first F1 race to watch was there as a Christmas gift from my wife and 1 year old son. I was right across from the pits. See blue arrow on photo.

Indy was pretty good too, all except for the not racing part in 2005...

Nurburgring is great but stands are disbursed all over. I was down by Dunlop curve. I swear I thought I had to walk to France just to get to my seat.

Canada? MEH. Great to watch on TV but the stands are not in great places and the infield is just a forest so you can't see anything. First time I was on start/finish straight and my seat was so low that I couldn't see the cars coming down the straight. The hairpin is decent though. Worst part is getting to the island on the metro. Ok going to but after race is a nightmare.
