He will really get on well with Stroll! Sort of coming off bad here with his complaining. Vettel takes the high road. 👍👍

Poles for 2022:
Kmag = 1 Mercedes = 1 Louise = 0 ![]() Possible contentious driving pairings for next year... Hulk and Kmag "suck my balls". Gasly and Ocon. Stroll and Alonso. Last edited by ted; 11-13-2022 at 06:22 AM.. |

Silly me....
I thought the quali pole winner was starting the Sunday race on pole, not the sprint race.
Silly me. |

Wasn't that long ago, Merc was slow
and struggling with porpoising while ferrari and red bull had it figured out. Then the powers that be changed the rules. Red bull and Ferrari has to change their floors, And maybe a front wing or two. As a result, red bull was still fast, but not as fast. Ferrari slowed way down. And now merc is one-two on the podium again. Back to normal. I wonder how much it cost to get that rule changed, and how many others are planned for the off-season? Bet they don't count that as part of the spending cap. Good news is, if they keep winning, we won't have to put up with as much whining and crying on the radio from you-know who. ![]() PS I'm betting Max won't get a Christmas card from Checo this year ![]() |

In spite of the fact Max should have acquiesced, I still like Max.
If Checo crashed at Monaco on purpose to hold pole, and then win the race Max should be pissed. Max already said the score is even now and that next race he would give up a spot for Checo. ![]() |

I think Stroll needs a one race ban penalty for his recent moves.
I also think Verstappen has removed all doubt that he's a wanker.

Monaco 2022:
Perez started P3 Verstappen started P4. LeClerc P1 3/10th faster than Max and almost 3/10th after than Sainz in P2. So whilst Perez's crash may have prevented Max from getting pole it was not to retain his pole, nor to retain his starting grid row.... he was starting P3 or P4. To think he crashed deliberately is far fetched, especially as two days later RBR confirmed Perez's contract for 2023/24 seasons. This suggests it was signed before the race but not announced. Not sure they would have announced it if they believed Perez had deliberately crashed to prevent Max's Q3 run.. Possible yet improbable. Max simply under pressure and reverting to old habits. I hope he matures to escape this trait.

^^Correct about Monaco. Checo was behind the Ferraris. Third on the grid.
I personally don't believe a word that comes out of Max's mouth, ever. He's just like his dad. Max will always put himself above all others. He proved that once again yesterday. Last edited by 450knotOffice; 11-14-2022 at 09:09 AM.. |

The alpha team was under investigation for a
pit lane incident. The investigation found that a person entered the pit lane who was not part of the alpha pit crew, resulting in a 1000 somethings fine. At this time, we have not been able to substantiate rumors that it was Brad Pitt |

I haven’t been able to login for a couple days?, anyway wanted to post what a race! So much better than the previous ones. My favourite parts: RB telling Max to let Perez stay in front; he didn’t, and LeClerc trying to get the team to take Carlos off the podium for his points; they didn’t.

Edit: Basically this: Teams: "Rule X doesn't explicitly say Y, but is Y implied?" FIA: "Yes, Y is implied." RB and Ferrari ignore Y Teams: "RB and Ferrari are ignoring Y" FIA: "Okay our bad, rule X now explicitly says Y"

Lots of contentious issues...
- Binotto has been seriously rumoured to be on the way out and replaced by Fred Vasseur. Ferrari issued a strong denial, that probably means it's true (LOL). I mean what do you do with Ferrari starting with the best car and yet running out of upgrade money too soon, constantly messing up strategy, sending their #1 guy as the only guy on the wrong tire for quali, constant fumbles... Also the reason Leclerc was asking to swap position with Sainz for driver points, was because they had agreed to do so before the race - not a petulant last second request... It was doable too, a Ferrari can still hold off an Alpine, please.. Leclerc has bit his tongue many times, to his credit... - Gasly actually did try to get 2 penalty points by a) exceeding pit lane limit and b) leaving too much room during the safety car, and both times the directors did not penalize him - it's hysterical considering he got BS penalties before for the same infractions, but when it would help him him to get points off, he cannot get them to punish him.. FIA consistent as usual ! - Stroll, I mean, come on ? Are they waiting till he kills someone? Honestly I think so. I can't wait to see "teammate killer" Alonso and Stroll get together on track ! - Alonso talking $hit about Ocon after actually being mostly to blame for the side contact and 100% to blame for hitting him again in a straight line and getting a penalty, saying he can't wait for this partnership to be over and to drive the green car- this coming from the guy who was rescued from retirement by Alpine.. I respect the driver talent and ruthlessness, and he did have bad luck mechanically vs Ocon, but did he EVER leave one team without acrimony, ever ? - Schumacher appears to be out and replaced with Hulk. That is an odd one, replacing an up and coming driver that has been improving race after race and carries a big name and sponsors, with someone who has many many chances and never won a race. Is this really a step up? If you're gonna do that, pick an F2 driver like Pourchaire ? - RE: end of Checo and Max bromance - If it's really about Monaco you'd have thought Max would have gotten over it by now, as he's received quite some help from Perez since...Very odd! Apparently the data trace does confirm Perez did it on purpose in monte carlo, wonder if it's too late for a penalty (like when schumi did it)! Last edited by Deschodt; 11-16-2022 at 09:36 AM.. |

Schu is out at haaaaas, that sucks.
I am very curious what Hulkenburg can do in an almost undriveable car. I suspect he won't do well but hope he proves otherwise. Either way I'll be rooting for him |

I hope he doesn’t create a lot of work for the mechanics. Who knows, maybe he can provide development insight.

The articles I read this morning state that Hulkenberg was signed for 2023 . Did he sign just a one year contract ? In my opinion you are asking a LOT from a driver who has been out of the sport for a while to come up to speed with a new team/car/engineers etc etc in one year .
I like Hulkenberg but feel bad for Mick . I hope Haas can be successful and Mick finds a place on the grid . Long term I question if Haas have made the right decision . Only time will tell . |

I think the idea was that Schumi kept breaking cars and they think Hulk will be more reliable, and maybe provide better feedback from years of experience. I also read that Haas doesn't even have a good simulator, so is a bad place for a young driver to be.
