Kindig seems like one of the good guys in the TV show car restoring business but what's up with super low profile tires on everything?

^^^ Agreed on Kindig. From what I’ve read, he came from humble beginnings. I like watching his show.

They did several cars is a medium to light blue exterior with a beige interior and I really like that combination.

That Corvette is not doing it for me though.

Giant wheels and rubber band tires are the "cool" look for almost all the designers. All Foosed up. I bet in 15 to 20 years there will be TV shows of shops going back to more normal 18 in wheels and tires with a real sidewall. Those rubber band tires on oversize wheels can't handle the potholes on the average road.

And yea, Kendig seems too be a great guy and does great work, from exceptional quality employees.

Pretty hard to get 15” tires these days, 14” are ever more scarce.

Yeah, but 16, 17, and 18 are available. Everything doesn't have to be 19, 20, etc...

That's a stain on the Ridler award.

The Falconer V12 rocks. I like the car except for the wheels. Wheels are an easy fix.

The execution is amazing, but it's just horrific.

From the angle of the above picture. The roofline reminds me of a Volvo P1800.

Sign o' the times.

It costs 7 figures to win the Ridler these days. I'm beginning to think that the reason for the prize has lost it's way. AMBR award (Oakland) has become the more meaningful award, at least to my way of thinking, because there is still a chance that the little guy can win the top prize.

I take it the car is not drivable and just for show.
I'd rather have a turtle pond.

Corvettes of that era don't need to be re-designed...at all. Just my opinion.

Not a style I like, but you have to admire the craftsmanship..

The owner says he plans to drive it; the brake discs are stainless steel, not chrome plated and he has another set of wheels and tires more suited to driving. And I agree with that decision.

He has sold/built several convertibles that are similar.

Those were carbon fiber bodies out of a mold. This one is hand formed aluminum.

If I remember correctly he stretched them to add much needed legroom.
