So, I do business with this Mill all the time...just bought 50 16x6x1 oak fence boards to repair aging fence sections from the Mennonite/Amish.
The place is amazing: ![]() I went at lunch time and got to watch this guy, who I know and got permission from to post this photo, work this machine like you read about. ![]()

They know me, so $10 a board...$500 out the door.
I have paid a lot less in hurricane years. I can’t imagine the West Coast price.

On the way to work a few weeks back, I was stuck for 2.5 hours in between 2 exits on I-10 so I got to watch the sunrise. 2 semi's got in an accident with at least one laying on its side and on fire. Total commute ~3:50 (left home at 4:50 and got to work ~8:40)
summer sunrise Second cave of Natural Caverns near San Antonio. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There are 2 caves open to the public for tour. One had an exposed opening and had a bat colony. The second was discovered because the family that owned the property performed exploratory drilling in the late 60s. On one of the test holes, they hit a void. The drilled the hole bigger (exploratory drillings were 6") up to 22" where they then used a winch to lower folks down the hole to see what was there. Because the cavern had been essentially "sealed shut" there were/are "soda straw" stalactites up to 6' long. The grandsons loved it.

Small part of an impressive private car collection I went to see recently. That 1955 D-Type Jag is the genuine article, not a tribute or continuation.

I guess a locking gas cap was way too complicated for this situation. Then again, gas prices have gotten really stupid toooooo….sooooooo

We had cloud cover most of the time so we missed out too. Saw an impressive pass of the ISS last week but only crappy iPhone shots that showed nothing noteworthy. ![]() God Bless those that served and those still serving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
