I am quite sure that, if there were a large cache of chemical or biological weapons in Iraq, then the Saddam-loyalists-turned-insurgents would know where they hid it, and they would have retrieved those weapons and used them against a US base or other American target by now.

How are you "quite sure" about something like that?

Yes I do.

Could this be the "very small WMDs" that fLintstone was talking about? You know...the same "very small" WMDs found under fLintstone's bed?

Can it be? OMG please, let it be true...please.......

Can it be???

LMFAO.

The insurgency has been throwing everything they have at us, stopping at nothing, no atrocity is too great, no amount of world disapproval is too much, and they have suicide bombers a-plenty. They are under pressure, both militarily and politically. What conceivable reason would they have for not using any WMDs that they have? They certainly have the capability and the motivation to conceal a chemical shell in a car and detonate it near a US target, and they'd love to force US and Iraqi troops to patrol this summer in sweltering chemical suits and force Western companies to evacuate their personnel.

Listen, they can dress it up any way they want, but if Saddam had had functional, effective WMDs he would have used them against US troops attacking Baghdad. Period. End of story.

Saddam was too slow. We overran his troops and positions and were at Baghdad before he could act. All sites where chemical weapons were expected were secured or behind our lines.

If the Saddam loyalists have chemical weapons, they likely would not use them. they would not be very effective without a delivery system, they can always use them later (they are patient).....and not finding them is a priceless propaganda tool in the hands of their allies...................

Is this coming from your extensive military background and training or out of your backside? Are you really this thick? Do you really think that Saddam would have used WMD against us knowing that we would have pulled out the nukes the second he did? Baghdad would be glowing for 10,000 years if he did that and he knew it. Jeeez where do your ideas come from? Mars and a tin foil hat?

Ok kids, lets go back to basic geography. Iraq is a desert country for the most part. Lots of it, like the size of the state of Texas. You can hide a lot of things in the desert, like weapons. Below is the url for the proof on this find:

http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/ap/world/3538011.html

The next question is, how many more are out there? We just have not found them and there are probably hundreds of stash's like this, just waiting for someone to use. Iran has been and is currently supplying the terrorists with fresh arms and munitions, we know this for a fact.

Now, CC and Rodeo are making fun of the fact that we keep saying that there are things hidden in the desert. Well kids, take a look at the photos below and tell me how hard it would be to hide a few vials of germ warfare agents, or the radioactive materials that he purchased from other countries. He had it at one time and did not just flush it down the crapper. Had he disposed of it properly he would have documented it and we would not have invaded the bloody country.

What is this:

Can you tell what it is from here?

Here, let me enlarge it a bit:

Like to see the rest? How about this:

There will come a day when you guys who "know it all" will be eating crow. Several of us just cannot wait...

Joe A

DTW, thanks and you are correct on both points. This is very good news and the naysayers need to STFU. They just got caught with their pants down and do not want to admit it. There is a lot more out there, hidden in the desert, waiting to be found.

Damn, Joe beat me to it. Are you guys just so set in your opinions that you won't admit it, or too stupid to acknowledge it? How can you not believe that there's stuff buried out there? Hundereds of miles of desert, where you can bury something and a day later never be able to tell, yet you guys won't even admit there's a POSSIBILITY of other things, possibly WMD, buried out there? Until somebody digs up every square inch, there's always a possibility.

What I DID say was that there was a weapons cache buried in the sands of Iraq and our troops had been in Iraq for 3 years without finding it. That statement does not imply that any or all of the weapons were buried there for the three years.

My point still stands...the insurgents were able to keep a massive cache of weapons buried in the sands of Iraq and our troops, despite all their best efforts, didn't find it until Joe Iraqi tipped them off.

My questions still stands as well: Do you still say there is no possibility that there are still WMD buried in the sands of Iraq?
Rick, this is Clintonesque at best.

Is there a possibility that WMDs are buried in the sands of Iraq? Absolutely. But according to Flintstone, they are very small, so the sandworms prolly got them, that is if the Fremen haven't already.

"the insurgents were able to keep a massive cache of weapons buried in the sands of Iraq and our troops, despite all their best efforts, didn't find it until Joe Iraqi tipped them off. "

What does that statement say? Something about the number of troops necessary to do the job perhaps?

Saddam was too slow? What? That's some revisionist history lessorn. We all heard he could launch a WMD strike in 45 minutes. It takes me longer to get Chinese delivered.

Matt,

The problem is that they have their heads in the sand, playing ostrich. That keeps them from seeing what is really going on but in the end leaves them open for a kick in the rear end.

Need to wake up people before its too late...

If we had our heads in the sand, why wouldn't we find all those WMDs the crackpots believe are buried there?

Give it up already. You remind me of one of those Japanese soldiers still fighting WWII 5 years after it ended. There are no WMDs. Event the president admitted this, finally. Go on to Area 51 conspiracy theories. You'll gain some of your credibility back.

Let me give you a guess... Lets see. How about "because your eyes have not opened yet and its a very big desert!" Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding! A winner!

5 years later? You need to go back to your History class. There was a Japanese soldier found in the PI two years ago, That makes it almost 60 years after the VJ day.

Once you learn a bit about history, THEN you can quote it. Until then pls do not act like you know it.

Regarding the WMD. Saddam had them. They were not disposed in a way that can be confirmed. Until they are either found or we find someone (and a witness) who can prove that they are gone, then I will bet money that they are still around somewhere. Possibly inside your tin foil hat!?

Joe A

PS Have not been to "Dreamland" as its really called, in a long time. Only the press, liberals and idiots waiting for saucers call it "Area 51." Doubt that they would let you in...

PSS, Gilligans Island is about the speed that you guys can handle. This one did not surprise me one bit...

I can I'm dissapointed in you guys, you let me down.

A single embedded reported has this exclusive story and yet no verification from the Pentagon or Whitehouse is released. Was there even attempt at anything resembling research on your parts?

Just the same old debates and name calling, no one doing a background check on our author RYAN LENZ of Associated Press?

This news if that is what it is (and not another planted story) should be front page headlines considering the heat Bush/Cheney is under these days - the boys need a bail out bad, a wag the tail distraction of major size - the timing could not be better.

I guess we will have to wait and see if this story has any legs or validity.

Perhaps I expected too much.

Will keep my eyes on this story - rage away.
