Saw the movie and it wasn't that good. It was fun to see all the dif. cars that were all tricked out. A friend at work has a rx7 like the one in the movie. He's put about $8,000 into the motor. new turbos, blah, blah, blah. The first time he took me for a ride i almost pissed my pants. Wicked fast when the turbos spooled up. He had a computer. mgt. system in the car. Advance and retard timing device, manual boost device plus some other things i have never seen. How did he afford it? computer geek just like me. He claimed about 475hp w\o nos. I believe it. Another thing about the car was that it handled extremeley well.

Well - I saw it last night.
All I can say is thank God there weren't any Porsches in that movie. I must be getting old. I'm glad to see kids doing things with cars but those Imports just look and sound goofy. The Ferrari scene drives the point home that if you throw enough money at something it will be faster than most exotics. Heck, even the Ford Lightning truck is quicker than almost any N/A 911. What would you rather drive? I kept waiting for the Power Rangers to show up in that film. They never did, or were they unmasked as Yacuza? |

I built the GT40 that was in Fast Five. My only claim to fame. Not really a fan of the series.

So true. Time waits for no man.
And how much money have they made from these movies? It would have to be in the Billions. ![]()

I haven't seen them all, but I've seen at least pieces of many/most. Most of them aren't too bad for what they are. I don't think I can watch the new one. This just looks silly.
