The Ferrari guys on FerrariChat have done a pretty good job determining which VIN the Enzo was based on the pics (color, interior, wheels). Now, they are trying to find out who was behind the wheel...

Pretty funny with a very limited production vehicle like that, your online community tends to know everyone!

Idiots killed a very nice car.
Me too. Think I'll take a quick run over Decker down to PCH. See what parts I can find for you guys

Funny how the commentator on the video talks about a "16 valve V8 that must weigh 1500 lbs" that was left a 1/4 mile from the passenger compartment...

I read the thread but didn't see where they knew the car. They guessed at the Sema show car and Cody's car. They also seem to disagree on interior color as well.

They ruled out Cody's car... the interior is black on the accident car.

It appears to be the SEMA car...

I don't believe that he couldn't stop the car. The Enzo has the latest of everything, including brakes. I'm pretty sure he could have stomped on the brakes if it was really accelerating beyond his control. Or was it out of control because he brought it upon himself?

Honestly, I think anything over 500hp belongs on a racetrack only.

Supposedly, he was racing a MBZ SLR after a party. The "passenger" was tested over the BAC limit. Speculation is that he was really the driver and is claiming to be the passenger.

I found the 1,500 lb part funny. Enzo's engine is a lot less then that!

Mandatory driving courses for these Supercars are needed. Either you take and pass one, or the dealership can't legally hand you the keys.

Just goes to show - give someone enough money and property, lives, etc. don't mean ***** any more. . .

That driver needs to be beaten senseless with a pillowcase full of brass doorknobs.

Howard,

Get me a couple chunks of Ferrari carbon-fiber with some red paint on 'em!

(Hey, it's not morbid - the dude walked, I mean ran, away!)
