I'm looking for some good sunglasses myself now. I'm thinking old school stuff. Ray Ban Wayfarer, Vuarnet Cateye, or if I could find a pair, the Porsche Designs with the interchangeable lenses. I had all of these back in the day, but they've all disappeared.

+1 on the Maui Jims. Have gone thru a couple pairs of their "South Shore's" over the years. Also have a couple pairs of Serengetis with their Strata lens (Polarized, photochromic, etc.). I agree with Don regarding quality lenses, especially living in AZ! Maui's and Serengeti's (glass lenses) are the best quality optics for my $$$. Also, I'd consider Serengeti to be US owned, since they are now part of the Bushnell empire.

If thinking old school, go with a set of vintage Persol's.

You can still get Ray Ban Wayfarers, as I just got a new pair not long ago and for the right offer, I might part with one of my pairs of Porsche Designs with the interchangeable lenses
