YES, That would be my grandchild. Why would I want to do otherwise? So the rapist TRIES to claim parental rights, would it be any worse than the messy divorces? I for one would rather have a grandchild, problems and all.

In fact, as it stands right now. No one has to justify a decision they make to you or anyone else.

That's a bad thing?

And that would be your choice.

See Tech.
Everybody can have their opinion and make their own choices.
I guess that's somehow bad for us....

My Son's skull gets partially crushed by my P-car as I back out of the drive. He is a veg and everyday I have to feed him et al. My wife, in bitter dispair divorces me and gets custody. My wages are garnished to pay for his 24/7 care. Life can suck. But thats not the norm.

So your daughter would just be some kind of vessel for bringing you a grandchild?

:-)

It's only the people trying to make other folks' choices for them that trouble me.

I'd never require a person who was anti-abortion to have one.

This I agree with.

That argument is an outside point. The topic is weather abortion is moral, ethical and just plain OK. And for the life of me I can;t see where it is. The rape or the act of incest is horrid but the actually conception and development of the baby is a separte matter. It would be the bag of gem stones found after the plane crash occured that was carrying the crooks and the stones. They land on an Indian reservation, poor Indians (not the ones with casinos). They can use the wealth and the insurence compay has already settled with deBeers. Who is entitled to the rocks is different than the theft of them to begin with.

So why can't I sell my kidney? And why can't we take embryonic stem cells and cloan human tissue? Or better yet, why not just suspend the embryo in the 1st trimester state, keep it alive and if I need to harvest an organ for a transplant that I might need (say the liver cuz I drink like a fish and will end up needing one someday). I could justtake one from my offspring and use it. Whats wrong with that? I'm choosing to do something to the bady before it is born - it ain't alive so whats the big deal?

How about the rituals of that tribe that was just found. The one where they abort children then eat them? Whats wrong with that?

So where do you draw the line - how about not drawing it at all and figuer out what to do with a life instead of choosing to ignore it?

Is murder moral, ethical, and just plain OK?

You have some other way to get a grandchild?

Your point would be valid IF my ONLY desire was to have a grandchild. Big ASSumption on your part. I am 29 and being a grandpa is not high on my priorities at the moment or technically possible for that matter.

Why is it that you always take the worst possible view on others opinions? You streeeeetch just to try to make my motives look bad or trying to weaken my argument. Which is it?

Negatory on all three counts your Honor. Somehow this country lost its common sense in search of personal liberty.

It isn't murder until it's a human being and as I said before, like it or not, our laws are pretty clear that you're not a human being until you're born and breathing ex utero.

Me - I'd say if the pregnancy was life threatening - then better one death then two.
