Thanks Dave. I don't recognize the driver but I know the car. Pretty sweet ride.
Here's the latest progress of mine. The engine has been mated to the trans and as soon as the carbs are installed I can do an intial start up and begin fine tuning. So many details, so little time. ![]() ![]()

WOW! This thread took me back a few years .. thanks all! I lived off Mulholland my whole life .. 84 on we were running up there hard .. 911's, 928's, GTI's, 2002's, Saab Turbos, 5.0 mustangs ... you name it I drove it there ... can't remember anyone ever taking me ... I used to race bicycles and it was also my training hill .. I knew every crack in the pavement from Laurel to Supulveda and all the feeder cyns ... fun stuff reading all your recollections ... thanks!
For all the bonzai fans, here is a blast from the past from the 1FASTMF seville. It had the aerodynamics of a barn door and the power to overcome it too. With the engine set back, you basically were sitting in the back seat. Scared the heck outta me when I got to go for a ride in it. Picts are 1) 1981 - The Evil Seville left to right Dusty Hill, Kevin Ward, and Billy Gibbons. 2) Seville rear plate (pre 1FASTMF plate) with air accuated cylinder on right revealing aircraft landing light. Screw all that turning the lights OFF nonsense ... it is much harder for them to chase you if they can't SEE. ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by LaCarrera; 01-31-2008 at 05:36 PM.. |

For those of us who were less active on the Mulholland scene would you mind sharing your real name?

Now for some of us that were not yet driving in the '80s, please explain. I never made the ZZTop connection with the Seville as it was mentioned previously in this thread and I'm not about to go back and search 300 pages ![]() Is this the same Seville mentioned earlier? Was it originally built for one of these guys or is this just a random photo? |
