Las Vegas Race Car Driving School & Race Track Rental - Host a Las Vegas Corporate Event at Our Motorsports Country Club

Thanks for the info David, sorry I put Alerick as the contrubutor at first.

The Track looks like it might be fun.

The facility known as Thunderhill Raceway Park located just outside the city of Willows California is available for almost any type of event or function. It can be rented for racing events, lapping day events, drifting events, go kart events, driving schools, ride and drive programs, corporate events, commercials, a movie location, trade shows, weddings, receptions, swap meets etc. We do it all and for the past 16 years we have been offering our customers the best motorsports facility on the West Coast!

Some people have the misconception that renting a race track and putting on your own event is a difficult thing to do or there’s way too much work involved. Actually this could not be further from the truth at Thunderhill Raceway! We’ve got you covered with our turn key track rental packages! We’ll do all the work while you have all the fun!

The question most often asked is “How much does it cost to rent the track”? This is really a very simple question to answer, but we always need to ask a few questions first. What type of an event is it? How many participants are you going to have? What day of the week are you interested in? The answers to these questions help determine what the final cost of the facility will be. Rental packages start at as low as $2500.00 per day for 1-2 cars and go up to $15,000 per day with unlimited participants.

It all starts with selecting an available day. You can check out the Thunderhill daily schedule on this website and find a day that works best for you. After you have reserved your day, we will help you facilitate the best possible experience for you and your guests. We can help you with registration and collecting payments if you need it. We will furnish you with all the documentation that will be required for you and your participants. We can help you create an event schedule and we can even secure event insurance for you. We’ll hire the medical and track staff for you, and we can even get you a photographer and coaches if you like. We will even help you figure out your food service needs are and set up catering or concessions for your event

Thunderhill is the Mosport of CA. True drivers track- lots of blind over the brow stuff and fast. Spring Mountain is THE premier Motorsports facility anywhere west of the Miss, and i'm including Miller in that one. We ran POC cup races there in march-let's just say i can't wait till next year!. About as world class as you can get for a high desert track-it's come along way since the Bragg Smith days. Clubhouse has Ferrrari Lambo dealership on the ground floor, full chef services, masseuses, full length pool, spa, multiple 60" high def monitors in the lounge, slate tiles, patent leather sofas, indoor shooting range, they just purchased another adjacent 180 acres for more track configs, an 18 hole champ golf course, and lake. The school offers Lotus Exiges, C6 Vettes, and Radial sports racers. If that isn't enough you have brothels and Casinos a couple miles down the block Thunderhill is ten times the track, but after you visit the standing bar once you've taken the entire tour of Willows CA..

Well put. The overviews don't quite capture the elevation changes and high-speed stuff at Thunderhill. Here are some pictures I took of some of my friends testing before the Historics last year:

No brothels, though.

S.F region has a winner in TH, especially since they added the back section.. Nor Cal has the good tracks So Cal the crap one's. I've been fortunate to have raced at pretty much most circuits in N.A., TH is my second fave after Mosport. Not a huge fan of the "cyclone" but when you bicycle the car over the bypass you know you've done it right Looking at that Bobby Akin 935 it's hard to imagine that's a thirty year old car..

Alas, no brothels though

Porsche Crest Mul can be hairy

Well, it happened again this morning at 3 am. I was woken by the sound of a Police helicopter. After a few minutes of hearing him chop the early morning air above Mul, I looked out the window to Mulholland. He was circling around the Identicals. Then he slowly moved to the east all the time with his big searchlight combing the hill-slopes. Then he stopped at the top of the Esses and circled there. About ten minutes later you could hear several fire engines blazing across Mul from Stn 99. Ten minutes more passed and a bigger helicopter arrived. This one made the first copter seen quiet by comparison. I saw this big bird hover just above the top of the Esses before it dropped vertically into the canyon below the road. More copters arrived with searchlights.

I went back to bed. At 5 am when I re-awoke a single copter was still hovering in the Esses. My wife Jane then said that she was having a dream with a helicopter in it, lol.

This area of Mulholland has been plagued by accidents. I have heard many nights of sirens here since 1955 when I arrived on Mulholland from a hospital delivery (thank goodness for the Hospital delivery, almost didn't make it)

In many ways, Mul "West" is more dangerous than Mul "East". It's faster, with many blind treacherous turns.

The top of the Esses is one of the most dangerous turns on Mul in my opinion. It's blind, sharp, and has a decreasing radius like other dangerous turns on Mul.

Lately expensive luxury cars have been dumped off of Mulholland in this area and this event could have been like that possibly.

Make a simple sign about 2.5 ft. long and 6 inches high and attach it to a 5 ft. piece of 1/2 inch pipe. Drive it into the ground where his Benz went off. The sign should read...

SHEEN RAVINE

...and have a small arrow pointing downwards.

Heel n Toe has a point, Banning. You may have to alter the map of Mul in your 2nd edition to rename section of the road. Just like Carl's got his corner on the Race Course.

Nah, Sheen's too late to the dance to get a corner or section named for him. Plus, we don't know if he's a decent driver.

That's why I thought it would be best to name a place off the road where his cars end up.

Very well put John. He is not a Racer from the old days or the new and we have no idea how he emotionally feels about Mulholland. He might hate it for all we know. Besides, his cars are going off in a short straightaway between Top of the Esses and New Houses turns.

However the idea of a sign is intriguing and quite appropriate for Mr. Sheen since he is a high profile kind of guy, lol.
...and he deserves the honor of Sheen Ravine, off of Mul as you properly stated John.

I got some wood for a sign.

I'm just wondering when would be a prime time to stake the site. You had better believe that the Home Owners across the street might take an interest if they heard heavy pounding from a Hammer nearby. Being on the news (for this) really doesn't interest me.

I know a hill shortcut back home but it will take me right thru those houses initially.

Maybe...a fluorescent vest to look nonchalant is in order.

Wait! Derek should pound it in. That way if he is discovered, he can talk about his creation, the MIRRC and become famous. Just pondering, sorry, lol.

You should use a heavy sledge hammer to drive it in... all you need to do to make it a stealth installation is something made of rubber to lay over the top of the pipe or whatever you attach the sign to. My first thought was 1/2-3/4" pipe because there's no chance it would split while you're pounding it in.

Got any sandals with soles made from a tire... or something similar? That would do it.

It would drive in the easiest if you did it after a long, soaking rain, but I hear that doesn't happen much in So Cal.

I like how you used soothing park property colors for the sign. It will blend right in and adheres to the Santa Monica Mountain Conservancy guidelines.

good show man !
