The difference with women is they have to put up with unfair social norms that brand them as "easy" or "sluts" for having very natural drives. So, they are more guarded about partaking in "no/low commitment" sex if they are worried about being taken advantage of (ie lied to) or having their reputation sullied. Women are a lot more open and adventurous if they trust you to be discreet and respectful. Quote:

I agree with stomachmonkey and think the wreckersteve's advice is pretty good. You could invite her down for the weekend without any expectations and just see where it leads. These things do have a habit of sorting themselves out and if she's into taking the whole thing further you will get to know about it.
Even if it doesn't work out you will gain or maintain the reputation of a thoroughly decent guy and the way women discuss things between themselves this could even bring in some future benefits. Good luck!

For most guys here, isn't the question really:
"Is there anyone you would not bang?"

If I were you, I might try to just be a bit up front about it.
If I remember correctly, she was the one who suggested coming over for the weekend. You could manage a conversation to bring it up again and express a (bashful) concern. Mention that knowing you are both not attached, spending time together like that might lead to other things. Tell her you want to be up front and you value her friendship foremost, but that you admit to being vulnerable thoughts natural to males, especially as far as she is concerned. Tell her you are letting her know this so as not to be presumptuous and ruin a friendship you value. This may be a good way to bring things out into the open for one thing and find out about her wishes at the same time. She might tell you she wants to spend time with you as a friend, or for recreational (sex or not) reasons, or maybe to just bang your brains out. Be just a little bashful/boyish about it. Women many times are drawn to that. If you seem a little vulnerable for an instant or two (but not overly so), many times that will bring out tender feelings that can lead to other things. 15 years aren't that much. You may still have plenty of hard years left. You should be taking advantage of them.

Maybe she is pending time with you because you remind her of her grandfather and the mention of sex will ruin things.

I got another call today from a young lady who has been chasing me. Yes, its difficult to believe but its true. She is a single Mother, 29 years old. Used to live in this area but shortly after we became friends (and only friends) she moved to Texas. I had a trip to the city where she was living and took her to a basketball game while there. After the game we went back to my hotel where her car was parked. She needed to use the potty so we went to my room. After finishing she sat on the bed and we talked for a while, then I walked her to her car. At the car I got the "why dont you like me" and "dont you know what it means when a girl sits on a guys bed" question! Said that I did like her but that she was too damm young for me. With that she threw a liplock on me that lasted several minutes then she hopped in her car. As she belted up she said "you let me worry about the age difference. It does not bother me" then drove off. We are still in touch and she wants me to come out and spend a few days with her, but the age is still an issue with me. Am old enough to be her Father and just not sure that I need someone that young in my life. So Stoney, there are people that do think more with their upper head than their lower head.

You have to be careful with people you work with nowadays for sexual harassment laws. A doctor told me a female worker can sue for just about anything--the law isn't that well-defined. Not that most women are like that--but you never know.
Does anybody know where all this political correctness came from? You know, people are now "chairs" and actresses are now actors, and all the rest of that baloney which many women laugh at. Maybe it all emanated from Ted Kennedy in a moment of guilt.

"more with their upper head than their lower head." - I was unable to do such until I was well past 45 years of age. Up until then my little friend was the boss. I am not sure which circumstance is better, but I am tired now and going to bed.
HELLO!!! THAT was more fun! THIS is safer!!! I am glad for those days when I did not care about safe.

Joe & Dennis are right about you being more selective and less being on a rampage as you get older. But just because you are older doesn't mean a younger lady isn't right for you. My wife is 25 years younger than I, and we get along just fine. I think it's partly because of me being as old as I am that I'm happy & not looking around. But from when I was younger, I know exactly what Dennis is talking about - and living on the edge.
But good advise is always not to s**t where you eat.

Scott, Scott, Scott!
Stop intellectualize a relationship situation. These things are governed by the feeling (heart?) and in no small percentage the genitals. Maybe those are just two sides of the same coin. In any case. If you both are available and enjoy each others company - go with the feeling. What happens - happens. You are both adults. Itīs true, women usually seek a deeper relationship and who knows - maybe this is it. As long as one remember the number one rule: Always be completely honest to both her and yourself. Oh, and beware the small, initially insignificant things, that start to annoy you. One tend to look away in the beginning of a relationship, but take those signals seriously and talk about it. Honesty and Openness is the Key. And for God sake - of course you should bang her. Bang her silly!!!
