Please hurry! I'm having to work all day and no goofing off - this is the only site I like (that I can use at work).

So Wayne loses a disk and has issues with rebuilding the forums, at the same time craigslist gives this error:
Error

Craigslist and many other sites are having issues at the colo facility.

Please sit tight, and try again later.

We are aware of the situation, and the happy craigslist elves are scurrying to make it better, even now.

coincidence ? I think maybe Wayne is Craig from Craigslist

Wayne, thanks for the forum and all the hard work that went into bringing it to life on the first place, for maintaining it and making it better. This forum is a great resource for all Porsche entusiasts, and I'm sure many of us, including myself, are very thankful for your dedication and hard work.

The postbit legacy template looks weird as the left column has a size that is not consistent.

New forum looks/works awesome. The thread preview is AWESOME. Left column thing is a bit wonky though

color me stupid, but I can figure out how to upload a picture.

Do I have to start wasting my own bandwidth?!?

+1. Since I am a computer illiterate I don't understand half of what you are explaining but I sure appreciate your efforts to get your site up and running again. Us BeemerDorks (technical term) sure appreciate it!

Thank you Wayne. You give a weary traveler something to look forward to. And I ONLY buy my parts from you. I just wish I could afford to buy more.

Thanks Wayne!

Thanks Wayne!

I am on here everyday, more than twice, well I must be a fiend (spelled correctly).

I hope it isn't too soon to start a thread like:

"You know you are a Pelican when the site is down and ...."

You still have to check every hour to see if it is up yet!

Ebay sucks!

Wayne,

Care to give any details on the Raid hard drive failure? I am considering upgrading to a raid 1 capable home computer. Thats two SATA 10k rpm hard drives with a Raid card operationg in the raid 1 configuration. Also considering a mirrored (I think its basically the same thing) server configuration.

Its a lot of bucks, but what the heck, we can afford a Porsche can't we? I just do not want to EVER lose my info, for any reason, again, ever.

I understand that a true mirrored computer is a seperate, off site computer.

Is this what your are considering? Is there a best way to do this?

Thanks

Cool guy

Wayne,

Seems fine, just one issue; having to type in the funky characters to verify a search. Really annoying and with the color background sometimes I can't see the numbers/words properly.

Thanks

Fanastic....what a change.. fast and slick... just what the doctor ordered....

I'm also mortally offended by those who deem my twice daily fix insufficient.. after all its once in the morning, from 0700 'til 1200 and once in the afternoon.. from 1201 until 2300....I know its whimpy.. but come guys.. I have to have time to sleep.. with WiFi eating and 'rest stops' are no problem... but I have not yet managed to multitask in my sleep...

Seems fast again, great!

I'm not getting email notification of posts. Went into my CP but can't see where I would re-ignite that feature.
