IIRC body still produces sperm and its absorbed in your blood stream. Theree were anecdotal studies that suggested may increase your cholesterol but I think that's been refuted. In any event mine was 20+ years ago and cholesterol is normal.

I don't think its been asked but for the record, there is no change in the amount of jism you spew post big V.

Have you researched this a bit? Based on responses here it sounds just fine but over a couple of scotches this summer a clipped friend started talking...it didn't sound good. Anyway, it sounds fine by most accounts but this scared the sh:t out of me. Rare? Not related? Who knows.

Piece of cake. I didn't take anything beforehand. Was there for about an hour then spent the next couple of days with a bag of frozen peas on my goodies.

I'm married to a vet nurse - she offered to do it for free but the dog talked me into going to the doctor.

He said it only hurts if your thumbs get jammed between the two bricks.

Buy the smallest "support brief" that you can fit into and wear for the first 72 hours.

Piece of cake - bunch of pansies - It's nice not having to worry about where all those millions of swimmies are headed.

No big deal - just take it easy for at least 2 days. I'd also recommend taking your time when you sit down for the first few days - you don't want to stress anything down there.

Make sure you wear a three piece suit to the Dr.'s office. Cause if your going to be impotent, you want to look impotent..

Depends...how do you feel about smelling your own flesh burning while seeing the smoke rise from down there?

Luckily the Doc gave me two Zanax beforehand otherwise I might have cared...

There is no searing of anything. The doctor just makes a small incision, cuts the "vas" (the tubes that carry the swimmers), and then puts everything back together.

No pain (just a sting while he aenethesizes the scrotum), and you can get back to work on your motorcycle. See me earlier post.

Believe me, I was there.

I asked what the smell and smoke were all about.

They (he) cauterized the "vas" post cutting.

I had mine on September 12, 2001. Very surreal experience. The next couple day were spent watching the news with a bag of frozen peas on my sack. Good times.

Btw, I'd do it again, without question. No problems at all.

had the v surgery back in 1997, quick yet painful no lie.

Healed up very quickly, no issues so I can't say a bad thing about it.

Nothing to worry about. Had one & did a rotation at the V clinic.
Do resist the urge to see if 'everything works' for a few days.
This can cause bleeding into the scrotal sac.
While we all like to think we have 'big ones' grown men will cry, as they look at those basketballs between their legs.
