It's not defamation if it's true; Plenty of "evidence" here on the board.

The "defamation door" swings both ways.

I see someone who made a deal and who is not now honoring it . . . and a lot of apparent questionable excuses.

I think you are missing the point. We are all wondering when you are going to man up and sell the machine to Joe at the agreed upon price of several weeks ago? Why are you still using it when you agreed to sell it? That's it. Period.

Tell your lawyers that they can blow my knob.

Defamation??? You gonna sue yourself.

A defamation suit has no merit unless it has caused you lost work/wages.

We'd have to know who you are in real life in order to defame you.

You all seemed to have missed the point that I have sent this 650 back to Dillon, who adjusted it, and it still operates the same way.

If the 650 somehow loads all of these rounds, without a problem, I will also post that. I chose 500, maybe 1000 to be a large enough sample to properly document the problem. Dillon sent me a new primer system, so I am starting with that (the old one blew up). Dillon's warranty is not in question, they just keep sending new parts, no charge, they check out the machine for free, they align it, but that dosen't decrease the danger from primer detonations.

Their 550, and 1050 uses a differen't primer system, is far more popular and probably is the basis for their reputation.

I build race engines for many differen't cars, they do not fail because of any workmanship problems due to me, in fact they have not failed, period. I have built many microelectronic devices, using thick film, thin film hybrids, monolithic integrated circuits using equipment in a lab that I have set up from scratch. This stuff is much more touchy and difficult mechanically than any reloading machine.

I have lawyers that work for me, they can be sicked on people for defamation of character. What I will be posting is simple my observations, carefully documented. I don't care if a company puts out a somewhat less than optimum piece of equipment, but if it can blow up in your face, people need to be aware of that possibility. I will be reviewing the Dillon 650 and post my opinion of what I saw. People can take it or leave it, its just my opinion.
And when will this "experiment" be completed and you will honor your agreement to sell the press to me?

Last you posted it would be 6 weeks. We are now in our 7th week. Above you mention 500 rounds, then "possibly 1000" rounds. When is this going to happen?

Joe

Yes I will honor it. I just want to establish that this machine is in fact what I think it is, a death trap.

I will be taking extra precautions so, hopefully I will not get blown up with it.

Any of you wanting to go beyond typical forum protocol better be real careful, especially if you have any assets.

Mr. Snow: The bottom line is you brought this on yourself when you said you would sell it within a certain timeframe and failed to do what you promised.

No one denies your right to fix the press, figure out what is wrong with it, whatever, no one cares. But you were either not up front about your intentions, or you changed your mind after you sold it. That's against protocol.

A simple email to the buyer (weeks ago) saying 'I can not in good conscience sell this as is', or 'I need two more weeks to document the issues, please allow me to pay the freight as restitution' would have salvaged your reputation on this board. I suspect that is no longer possible. And I doubt your idle threats will ever change that fact.

I have never thought anyone that has previously been banned on this board deserved it, no matter how much they trolled.

You deserve to be banned for this comment. On the other hand it shows your lack of any balls whatsoever. I bet you got bullied in grade school and still harbor resentment.

Yes, that comment implies a lot of 'lost lunch money'.

Sounds like he understands the law about as well as most other subjects.

Snowman, I have a couple of assets on the ends of my arms that would love to meet you.

Classic snowman.

An attorney would have a field day with your "colorful" posts here at PPOT.

You've probably posted enough fodder here for the Dillon folks to get a good start . . .

You've already gone beyond and below PPOT decorum.

Hey Joe,

I guess when we see on the news that a man was maimed while reloading ammo on a machine he claimed was defective and was trying to prove it - we will know he was right! And we will have another entry for the 2008 Darwin award!

Thankfully, the truth is an absolute defence.
