I have no problem at all believing cats would act in unison on something we humans did not perceive. Afterall, they're the same kind of animal with theoretically the same power/type of perception. I'm just saying I don't think it is ghosts they're seeing. I think they are perceiving something else.
I believe things like telekinesis may be true. But while that is "weird" and kind of mystical to most of us now, if scientists somehow "proved" that some people have the rare ability to move objectswith their minds, I think most of us would agree its just rare....like the people in the news lately that can remember literally EVERYTHING they've ever done. Now that is interesting and weird, but its not mystical. I don't need to believe in spirits or ghosts to undersand it. I think there area lot of undiscovered mysteries of the physical (ANd especially mental) world yet to be discovered. But they are natural, just not common.

If there is such a thing as ghosts, then life REALLY sucks, cause all you have to look forward to is staying about here as a wisp after you die, just doing dumb stuff like knocking over a glass in the night or blowing cold air on people in old houses. Weak.

Demons are wicked angels. Angels do God's will, which does not involve scaring/taunting people. The condition of the world today is evidence of demon influence. Look at all of the wickedess. And yes, that includes the sexual depravity. KT

I was watching one of those stupid paranormal shows one night and they had me going for a bit. Right up until here:
"John's friend, who happened to be a paranormal activities expert and author, also witnessed the events." HAHAHA!!!! It went downhill from there. They had followed the instructions of the ghost that told them where her body was, and they went to the location and started digging. The paranormal guy was getting all kinds of 'readings' and then the shovel guy, who up until this point was absolutely hellbent on finding the truth, got tired and decided they should finish shoveling the next day. But then, to their surprise, the next day a construction company had poured foundation over the whole place, so the 'truth is still down there'. HAhaha!!! |

I never tell people this story as most don't believe me but.............
I was always a skeptic but I was made I’m a believer – I once dated a girl whose family was from the country in South Boston, Virginia. Hey grandmother lived in a 100 year old house built by her father and they had an abandoned house almost in the back yard that was built by his father so the family had lived there for many years. You know the house. The 100-year-old kind, 2 story with real low ceilings (maybe they were short back then) and noisy creaky hard wood floors. The bedrooms had those scary low attic / crawlspace doors (the kind you just stare at late at night waiting for it to creek open). Anyway – we (me, gf and little bro) went to visit her grandmother who was completely bedridden – I mean completely. We were a little creeped out so we decided to sleep downstairs. In the middle of the night we were awoken (all 3 of us) to someone loudly walking back and forth upstairs and then slammed the door behind him or her or whatever. Then silence and nothing else happened. We just looked at each other and said WTF was that. Needless to say no one slept that night. Never again did I stay in that house and it gives me chills just to write this and it was 20 years ago! Now I know some may say BS but it really happened. I tried like crazy to rationalize what it was (wind, birds, grandma was faking all along, some dude broke in and took a stroll) but I never could explain it. That’s my long-winded story and I’m sticking to it!

I was visiting this galaxy a while back while on vacation. Some guy who had plenty of electro magnetic properties made me a deal I couldn't refuse. I've been stuck down here for the past few eons with a bunch of other suckers. Moral of the tale. Expect the unexpected.

Well, energy cannot be destroyed, it only changes forms, right? And our body's "higher brain functions" (ie consciousness) are basically electrical synapses (ie energy) that occur within our bodies, right? What happens when we pass on? This energy is released into, what, a collective unconscious? An energy field? The Tao? The Holy Spirit? The Force? The energy goes somewhere, and becomes part of something. Perhaps it is no coincidence that the closest thing we have to "evidence" of "haunting" in supposedly "haunted' locations are registered on devices that measure various forms of energy: tape recorders, video recorders, cameras, thermometers. I'm not saying that people are seeing the spirits of dead people; but people are seeing things that are measured by disruptions in energy fields. The scientific method fails us here, but the hypothesis that the energy of human consciousness and the energy measured before/after/during/at the location of disturbances are, in fact, connected seems like the best answer we've found yet. I'm no "New Age" freak, but my personal beliefs (a curious amalgam of Christianity, Taoism, and hard science) tend to skew toward this hypothesis.

I don't belive in this ghost stuff even till this day. I haveto say this, that damn Ouija board freaked me out. Punks kids always try to scare each other. One night in high school, the 3 of us were playing and I elbow my friend to let go. Harry, the 3rd person was going alll over he board for about a minute by himself. We looked at each other and didn't say a word until it stopped. Harry asked, what the hell did you guys do. That freaked us out. We didn't tell Harry, but kept doing it for a while, and were all spooked out and went home. this was aroung 2 am during christmas vacation. I had to walk 2 blocks alone to get home. That was a long but fast run. Scare the **** out of me. We kept playng with the damn thing on on and off. We even took it skiing with us to mammoth a couple of year later. Some don't want anything to do with it. They would not sleep in the condo unless it was put away in the car. I think I am freaking myself out, but every time the thing will move, the air is always cold and the chills down my back starts up. Happend to all of us.
Many cultures have a similar game. The Chinese have a small dish upside down with a coin on it. They claim it moves. The Mexicans have a similar game as well. This kid that work for me did not want to talk about it, but mentions that there's a similar game they played back home. |

General Jack D. Ripper: Mandrake, do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream. Ice cream, Mandrake, children's ice cream.
Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Lord, Jack. General Jack D. Ripper: You know when fluoridation first began? Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: I... no, no. I don't, Jack. General Jack D. Ripper: Nineteen hundred and forty-six. Nineteen forty-six, Mandrake. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works. Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Uh, Jack, Jack, listen, tell me, tell me, Jack. When did you first... become... well, develop this theory? General Jack D. Ripper: Well, I, uh... I... I... first became aware of it, Mandrake, during the physical act of love. Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Hmm. General Jack D. Ripper: Yes, a uh, a profound sense of fatigue... a feeling of emptiness followed. Luckily I... I was able to interpret these feelings correctly. Loss of essence. Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: Hmm. General Jack D. Ripper: I can assure you it has not recurred, Mandrake. Women uh... women sense my power and they seek the life essence. I, uh... I do not avoid women, Mandrake. Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake: No. General Jack D. Ripper: But I... I do deny them my essence.

The year was 1969, Bellville, Illinois and I was stationed at Scott AFB. I lived in the old part of town in an old bungalow type home (1870's) that was converted into mini-apartments. I occupied the dining room made into a studio apartment with a side door. My mixed breed cat, "Stanley" lived with me. Stanley was a keen hunter and protected his turf. Each day on the steps I would Stanley's contribution to his household, one dead field mouse!! So Stanley was a loyal, take no crap cat, who stayed indoors at night.
Not long after I moved in, late at night Stanley would suddenly start meowing like a crazy cat lifting his head and looking all over the room. Imagine observing that one!! I told the guy behind me about this the next day and he told me the rumor was that someone was killed in the house; a love quarrel over the older daughter who lived in the home. He experienced weird things as well, but since we were all stoned in those days anyways, just how paranoid can you get?! It became an intermittent event late at night, with Stanley waking me up with his half crazed meowing at the walls and ceiling.............it went on for the six or so months I lived in that pad. I really wanted to see or sense more (odors, cold breezes, white mists, etc), but never anything beyond Stanley's sensitivities. I believe Stanley experienced something on a level I could not. Cat's are indeed amazing animals and have a sixth sense well developed. I wonder to this day what he heard or what he felt..............no he never got stoned!!!! Do I believe in ghosts? No................, but I believe cats do! I am Bob and I endorse this true story. 1973.5T Sepia of Course ![]() |
