Will This Be Tabs's Last One?

Last Wednesday I received a custom rifle built by Don Henry Brown of Yakima, WA. Don Henry has a reputation of building one of the finest Gibbs (english) style Percussion rifles in the world today. A true perfectionist.

Unfortunatley Don had a blood clot in his leg and wound up in teh hospital, that combined with being 80 probably makes my rifle the last one he will ever make. As he was finishing work on it he told me as much. Don is truly a nice man, as I have had numerous conversations with him over the past coupla years.

Anyway with the way things are going this maybe the last rifle Tabs ever buys... Not that there is much that he hasn't owned at one time or another. It has kind of become bin there an done that kind of thing. Once I part with something it is rare that I ever revisit the same thing over again.

PLEASE EXCUSE THE PICS, THEY ARE NOT THE BEST. BUT WILL GIVE THE IDEA!

I had a dream last week that Mother was reaching out from the grave trying to strangle me, she was saying you are one dumb mthrfker...how the he11 didja get caught behind this mess. All I could say was please please just give me one more chance, I promise to be good, I promise nver to do it again. Do ya think she was listening?

Anyway it was a strange dream cause when I went over to Mothers she REALLY DID TRY AND STRANGLE ME>...saying she just knew she should left me out in the cold to die when I was a baby....but she was afraid that the wolves would carry me away and raise me as their own. So she didn't....But as I was turnin my shorts Borwn, I was down onmy knees praying, "Please please just give me one more chance, I............................."

I don't think that your big toe will fit in the trigger guard.

You have done well, tabs. Beautiful rifle. I'm surprised I have never met Mr. Brown, being that he lives right over the mountains from me, and we share common interests. It looks to be my loss.

I never though I'd say that I admire another man's wood.

That's one stunning looking rifle and your guns are way out of my league. Thanks for sharing the photos Tabs.

Its just takes money and the balls to spend it! (to which I have neither...)

The Chandler on the ground,...is ahhh because the other night I was swinging from it in a drunken stupor and it broke. I guess it couldn't handle nearly 300 lbs. I think it was the extra weight that that nights Buffet added that caused it to break.
