Hey all I'm up, Yep still hurts, still coughing blood, Okay I'm off to see if I can find the free medical clinic, and if they are open, I'll go there, and if not, I'll head to the ER.

I'll let ya all know what they tell me.

btw, I'm up and awake, so no C4 for you Mike!

Okay I'm back from the ER. I stopped by the address I got from the web for the free clinic, and none was to be found there.

So got there at 1:00, out at 4:00 I had a Chest Xray, and a CT scan, and some kinda blood test that looks for blood clots in the lungs.

All that worked out to them not knowing what I got, Xray and Scan are clear, and he gave me a script for Doxyline (sp?) Not able to read his hand writing very well.

So it still hurts, I think I'm anywhere down from 2-5 grand. Any bets on how much?

Doxycyclene. It'll clear up your clap, too. At least you've got that going for you. Sorry you didn't find anything more out.

well the CT scan would be 2100, x-ray $100, and blood test another $100. i would expect around 3,000 USD. because it's anything else the doc wants to charge and the hospital.
once had a doc look at my shoulder and say it MIGHT be a torn rotator cuff, and charged me $500!
the next week i went to a surgeon, took x-rays, and gave me the low down, and think he even waved the fee....

btw glad to see it's nothing seriuos...

There's still time!!

Dammit, I was the only one around and trying to give you some advice and relieve you of some fears! I'm glad you went and followed up with someone more knowledgeable on the subject than me...

For the record, I'm still not that concerned about your symptoms, especially based on your med visit. Things may come up, but sometimes, the body just does wacky annoying things.

However, regarding the bill...call the doctor, and try to talk him down on a fee. AFTER that, make a payment plan. Despite what the politicians and/or insurance companies might make you think, doctors can and will cut the fees and accept payment plans quite regularly. They're not monsters

If you have stress in your life right now, try to relax...you might just have an ulcer.
