It's a fun topic when you stop and consider that many of the weapons that the public are aware of have their origins in the '60s, '70s, and '80s. The B-2 is the most advanced bomber in the world, but was developed in the '80s. The F-22 didn't enter service until 2003, but was also developed in the '80s. I can imagine that there is some pretty amazing stuff that we don't know about.

Yep, that one (ABL) is designed to take out ICBMs in the boost phase, though. The program I worked on was the actual "death ray" that could...uhhh...hypothetically speaking...uhhh...take out people.

X-44
Mission: The X-44 is a proposed vehicle designed to fly without the aid of aerodynamic controls of any kind. All control inputs will be through the aircraft’s multi-axis vectorable exhaust nozzles.

http://www.codeonemagazine.com/archives/2001/articles/arp_01/xplanes/xplane_x44.html

________________________
The X-44 MANTA (Multi-Axis No-Tail Aircraft) is a conceptual Lockheed Martin aircraft design that has been studied by NASA and the U.S. Air Force. It is intended to test the feasibility of full yaw, pitch and roll control without any use of tailplanes (horizontal or vertical). Attitude manipulation relies purely on 3D thrust vectoring. Funding for the program was halted in 2000.

The aircraft itself is an F-22 Raptor-derived design featuring a stretched version of the delta wing and deleted tail surfaces.

aluminum foil helmets with lazer beams and a beer tapper is the latest secret thought control weapon. or so i have heard.

1) project mercury.

2) white sands miss-kill range

3) sandia labs

4)kirtland a.f.b.

5) hollomon a.f.b.

6) yuma proving grounds

7) los alamos labs

I've heard that the most obscure secret military weapon is the longsword +2.

apparantly the laser guidance lantirn pods that were on tomcats, were able to make the eyeballs of cows explode/pop if a cow happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time

*one minute your minding your own business , rechewing your morning batch of grass,
the next minute your eyes go splat ... it just ain't fair.

some speculate that that N Korea's intercontental test missile was toasted by a black project weapon.

ie: zapped it without leaving a trace

Why is it always the death ray? What about the life ray?

Or what ever happened to the gay ray?

All the solders drop their guns and start humping each other.

And sharks with friggin lasers on their heads are so last year... now we have sea bass with internal lasers.

Only because even our military isn't cool enough to yet know how to harness the pure awesomeness of the Pistol Shrimp...
