I used to live in NoVA. There was a car that I used to see driving around town that had I95-2FL (I-95 to Florida). Since I'm a Florida native, I thought it was cool. I was 16 and in HS and planning to go to college in Florida after I graduated in 1988, so I got "2FLN88". Not original, but I liked it. I've seen some interesting ones and some that fit "advertise the witlessness of the owner".

I'm Finnish, the wife is Indian. One day, just after our kid was born, our friend jokingly called her the....INDOFIN. And thus my vanity plate.

Didn't someone here suggest something like III1I11I, so it would be likely the cop would make a mistake as he wrote out a ticket?

I saw a clever one on the way to work this morning.
On a Subaru: PLEADES It makes sense when you realize that "Subaru" is the Japanese word for the constellation Pleiades, also known as the "Seven Sisters". Take a look at the logo on any Subaru...silver stars on a blue background.

Used to see a disgusting-green Mitsu Eclipse every day at school back in the 90's. Plate read "BABYPUKE".

In my neighborhood I used to see a little old lady with a 1970 convertible hemi Cuda. I approached her at the gas station and she waved me of saying "Read the Plate".
