Wow, tons of good areas. Find something close to the place with the job. The city metro area is 1,000 square miles. It is easy to drive 60 miles and never leave the metro. The city of Edmond borders OKC on the north. It is a bedroom community, most residents work in OKC. North side of the city is the most affluent side, but the south side has many nice areas. You can get a house equal to your current place for 40 to 50 grand easy.

By the way it was 73 degrees here today. It is supposed to be 70 tomorrow.

close to the OU medical facility, is what i am thinking. $50K?! do you realize how much this little POS appraises for? madness!!!!

GH85Carrera 01-28-2013 02:34 PM

Yea, look in Edmond on the east side that is where I live. OUHSC (OU Health Science Center) is just east of Downtown OKC. It is a fairly easy drive to OUHSC.

No cops this morning. That's a good start. I think the incident yesterday unnerved my new neighbors. I don't think they stayed in their place last night.

Evening all,

back from DC, dropped eldest and GF off, all sad, but got over it, Hubby not so much.

Rick V 01-28-2013 03:14 PM

Evening Y'all.
Well that was fun, Beth calls me on her way home declaring she has car trouble, a nasty noise and she pulled over and shut it down. I get there and have her start the car, the starter is dragging and when the car fires it sounds like a broken timing chain guide. Wonderful. Well it turned out to be the ac compressor clutch had grenaded. Stupid variable displacement compressor. So I peel the clutch cover apart enough to get the car going and nail the gas and finish ripping the rubber out of it. No ac but at least it drove home. Looks like it is time to spend some money. Y'all think Porsche parts are spendy, try buying Mercedes parts. :(

Yo ladies and ladies

nynor 01-28-2013 03:15 PM

i guess i better inform mrs. nynor before i start dishing out money for licensure in oklahoma.... the licensure process has begun, however.

Jim Richards 01-28-2013 03:22 PM

Dinner tonight was chicken green chili soup. Five alarm, cauterize the taste buds hot. iAy,_caramba!

nynor 01-28-2013 03:33 PM

mrs. nynor is on board. i have a kitchen pass to pay the licensing fees in oklahoma. we will be taking a short vacation there this spring, if we are still serious about the place.

this winter and the accompanying pollution have burnt mrs. nynor's desire to stay here.

thanks, glen.

Rick V 01-28-2013 03:34 PM

Good deal D. I know you guys are not happy there

SteamWolf 01-28-2013 03:43 PM

You'd pick Oklahoma over somewhere like Colorado or Minnesota?

I'd be torn between living in north Texas or somewhere close to the Canadian border. I did really enjoy my road trips in the relatively large state.

RKDinOKC 01-28-2013 03:45 PM

I was born in Oklahoma, don't know why anyone would move here. If it's for the cost of living, that just means you won't be able to afford to move away. :)
