Morning Y'all.
Sid that lake looks like a great place to hide a snake or three.
Jeff I have that came cover for Lanna, it came with the car but gets lots of use.

Sid, that looks just like lake Thunderbird or Canton!

Good Morning folks.

Jeff, I have a car cover on my 911. It stays in the garage so no sun exposure. I wash it and chunk it in the dryer every other year or so. I got it with the car 19 years ago.

Sid, have fun fishing. I never had the patience to fish. I figure the grocery store sells em all cleaned and ready. Even better a restaurant sells em all cooked and hot and ready to eat.

I love to fish and I don't care if I don't catch anything, but I haven't been in years, my son got all my gear

It's been setting record lows this week! Was below freezing this weekend overnight! It does burn off by about 10 and get up into the 50s, which is very nice.

But fair warning in the desert, around freezing feels really damned cold!

I don't do much fishing, but I enjoy it when I do. Nice to get out and enjoy nature, even if they aren't biting.

We recently got a Kelty sonic air pitch 6 tent... From bag to assembled in under 5 mins. I bet I could get it close to 3 with practice!

when I was a kid we used to go fishing all the time, camping down the beach or around the tidal waters near Scamander and Bicheno on the eat coat of Tasmania, Dad used to leave us down there during school holidays, we would just camp on the beach, dig a hole for a dunny, and just have bonfires on the beach all by ourselves, wash in the ocean. We used to have huge bamboo rods for surf fishing and small river rods for the estuaries, ah those were the days, you could camp anywhere, have fun, but now you have to go camp in campsites, with real dunnies, and showers!! what a bunch of pussies.

Me too. It is alien to today's parents but I would ride my bike home from school. Snarf down some form of a snack and head outside. Mom would usually remind me to be home for dinner. Duh, I learned real fast late for dinner meant no dinner so I never missed dinner a second time. As soon as that was dinner was done and I was excused the rule was be home before the street lights come on. Of course I had no cell phone and no way of being tracked. The only time we stayed home was when the weather was bad.

Beth and I will throw the tent in the truck, a couple of sleeping bags, a few days worth of food and just head off into the national forest, find a spot and pitch. No phones, no computers and no people, It is very relaxing. Cook over a camp stove or fire, and just decompress. It's funny to be woken up in the middle of the night by an animal that makes a noise we usually only hear in a horror movie, but that is what they make shotspoons for

I enjoy a pretty day outside and even a nice evening outside if the bugs are under control. I have not been camping since I was a boy scout and camping to me would be a no LTE service for my cell phone.

Roughing it is a twin bed and no cold beer in the fridge.
