Bummer Rick. We are up late cleaning. Looks like we are going to have Thuys dad staying here for at least a week. My alcohol consumption and productivity are about to sky rocket! Seems like a good week to start deep polishing the bug right?

Proposed Scenario

She made a lower unit noise so loud she woke herself up. She was going to whack you for it, but you weren't there to blame it on. Still a bit drowsy she decided to go see if you were on the phone to Jake from State Farm...Discount Doublecheck.

Cleaning is what you kids are calling it these days...And think the term is visit from Aunt Flow, not Dad. Never heard it called Polishing the bug, is that an Arizona thing?

Yes, I have a sick and twisted sense of humor.

My MIL is a great lady and I could not have a better MIL. I am lucky, to have a great MIL. When she comes to visit I usually find a project in the garage.

We are off to the PCA monthly breakfast. They have a good breakfast at Ingrids.

Her dad is an Asian engineer. There is no topic on which he is wrong. Impossible to have a conversation with him. I just nod my head and agree.

If he was an auto engineer I would tell you to ship him off to me, and I will send him back a changed man

That's fine if you have a large bank account and wife with her MD and a good paycheck. Doesn't work so well for the rest of us.

Nails in front or rear tire?

My BoxsterS came with Dunlops and BMW came with Continentals. I got a couple of rear tire flats on both cars. One I had to replace the tire instead of patching it and still got another nail in it. Only after changing tire brands did I stop getting rear tire Nails. The boxsters I went to Pirelli P Zero Neros and the BMW went to Generals.

Since where and how I drove did not change, decided it had something to do with the wheel base, circumference of the tire, and tread pattern that made the more prone to nails getting setup by the front tires to puncture the rears.

I know I am weird with my deductive reasoning.

No consistency to which tire gets the nail. No flats, but rather slow leaks. TPG usually lights up on the dash to indicate a low tire. Today I was rotating the tires (and oil change) and found it.

This time the nail is by the shoulder, so the local America's Tire won't patch it. I'll see if another place is willing to try. If not, I'll try a plug.

So glad I switched to Hoosiers... Used to be a nail magnet. Now, not so much.

Morning Y'all
Well you either get nailed or screwed.
Got my first AT&T bill since I made all the changes and that warranted a call to customer care. The woman in the store where I got all my stuff did NOT pass n the one time charges that I was going to be hit with and it came to over $100 in charges.
Today is going to warrant a stop by the store and a little discussion will take place with the manager.

Rick, they always have a fee involved for almost any change. That is a big income source for them.

We are going to go see the movie The Martian. I have heard good things about it. 3D Martians!
