Morning Rick,

One more day before the weekend!
Whoohoo, although the weather is nothing to write home about..
But hey, two days off from work is nice.

Thinking about emptying the diesel particle filter on our Jeep Compass...
It keeps giving warning lights and the dealer is unable to fix it... He is, however, very able when it comes to charging absurd prices....
50 eurobucks just to change one single light bulb (headlights)...., I thought about tearing him a new one right there on the spot.

I fried the battery of the 911 a while back....
Connected + and - when using startercables...
Big spark, not good...
Now I need a new battery (again...)

Good Morning shopping madness day.

Ate a bunch yesterday, then passed out in front of the TV as did most of the rest of the diners so weather outside really didn't matter.

Hit the jackpot as was sent home with 4x more than I consumed the first time including deserts.

Nephew has a 2yo girl pit bull, Dixie. The one Pepper bullied with her let's play extreme puppy excitement on their play date. Dixie asked to go out three different times. Each time she would whine and then Bark and they would comment "oh, you want outside" and let her out. Having trained dogs to talk the whining Dixie does before the bark is very close to "I want outside." AND the "whining" sounds where exactly the same each time. I commented about it and my Nephew's wife told me Dixie always whines before barking when she wants something. And the whining is different for each different thing she want's. Told her that all she needed to do is praise Dixie more when the whine is closer to what Dixie is asking for and she will be surprised how quickly Dixie will catch on and she will have a talking dog. The expression on my neice's face let me know she had not even considered Dixie was trying to tell them what she wanted. Think the light was coming on. Won't be surprised if I hear they have a talking dog.

Oh, and Dixie is a face licker. After you pet her before you know it she jumps up and you have a pit bull licking your face.

It's a ghost town here at the office. The train into the city was pretty empty, too. As much as I love having a 4-day Thanksgiving weekend, having a very quiet Friday is kind of pleasant. Now, if only the work itself was.

G'day peoples

A long day at the w place. I decided I needed to clear and file the five months worth of crap that had built up on the end of my desk.

Finished it off by playing below my handicap this arvo.

Morning all. Or evening or whatever. The day off work is time to do projects here at home. Always something.

Sometime the weekend of Thanksgiving I put up my Christmas decorations. This consists of hanging a 6 ft wreath on the gable over my garage door and just thinking about installing some solar powered lights on it. My next door neighbor has had a string of lights stretched out across his yard for a week. I assume at some point he will put them on the eave of his house and not just plug them in while lying is a straight line across his front yard.

Smoked turkey was a big hit. Lit a fire in the backyard once it got dark and had a few beers. In the mid 50s with a nice fire is perfect in the evening.

Oh yeah,

During dinner, my Nephew and host of family Thanksgiving dinner told a religiously centered story about Thanksgiving and the pilgrims then asked for everyone to discuss what the Thanksgiving story meant to them. This nephew is the President and CEO of the company i work for. I said I believed the turkey was chosen for the traditional Thanksgiving dinner because it's call was "Gobble gobble gobble."

His youngest son, the youngest in the group, 8 years old kept requesting we go around the table and everyone tell what they were thankful for...never happened.

Way back in 93 at Thanksgiving dinner we went around the table with each person sharing one thing they were thankful for. Everyone gave the typical expected things. When my turn I said the 1993 Buick Skylark, because it was stylish, roomy, comfortable, and affordably priced. Everyone jumped up and looked out the window asking if I had gotten a new car. LOL.

For a while my Brother hosted the family Thanksgiving dinner. My SIL came up with making 5 ft tree out of a limb and pot of rocks. Between dinner and desert each person was given a fall colored construction paper leaf and a pen and asked to put down the year and something they were thankful for. Each person shared what was on their leaf and it was added to the tree. The result was a tree with fall leaves, each with something a family member was thankful for. We did this for several years adding to the tree. The above was my 1993 leaf.

What a fun family eh?

Man, I ran uptown to get a Redbox movie for my wife and a few things to make supper tonight. I couldn't have been gone 20 minutes and I swear every frikkin' moron was out and about. I'm going back into the garage to turn up the jams and work on the end tables. Probably going to need to whack away at my drums for a while, too.

Grrrr. Why must people just be complete idiots? Black Friday or just another day for them?

Evening Y'all
Lost the batt in the boxster at some time in the last two weeks since I drove it last. Case cracked and peed acid all in the damn trunk and over the fuel tank. That was fun to clean out, I hope I got it all
