Enjoy the work Jim.

Glen, they should provide gravy to dip it in. Like a prime rib sandwich with au jus but good sausage gravy.

We had a bit of a debacle with the shuttle van. Completely overbooked - passengerwise and luggagewise. But the nice fella taking care of arrivals managed to get us on a slightly later van leaving the airport. We're plodding along on the southbound 405. We'll be home in a little while...and starting work on the house in the morning.

I just spotted a flatbed truck rolling along with smoke billowing out underneath. That engine needs a tear down. Cough, cough.

Mm, mm, good! Country fried chicken, hash browns, and country gravy turned out good tonight. Kids didn't like it but wifey is happy.

Going to cook up some sausage and install it into the gravy for sausage gravy biscuits in the morning. yeeha!

You're right, Glen. We need to finish the base molding installation, install some recessed lights (only four are must-do), install a closet organizer system in one bedroom, and finish unpacking from the move last fall. I have stuff that's clearly post-retirement projects lower on my honey do list.

When I went to college my Mom started frying chicken in nuggets with no bones, with gravy and mashed taters. Don't know why she waited till I left, but sure was good to come home too.

When my brother had my new flooring installed, don't know why, but he only replaced about half of the base boards and put quarter round everywhere. I asked to pull all the base boards and NOT put quarter round anywhere, (I like to put thinks agains the walls), but I was ignored. Now the new and old base boards don't match (idiots used to wrong color). AND in my opionion you only put quarter round if you are too cheap to replace the base boards.

There is a reason why I don't ask my brother to help with my home projects.

Found out this Thanksgiving the reason my brother and sister insisted I update my stove and replace the flooring. They gave my oldest brother and my sister that was insisting $5000 of Mom's money at that same time.

They did that because they thought if they gave me the $5000 outright I would just spend it on my car. They thought the were improving things for Mom. However Mom liked things like they were and all the mess and changes made her get worse faster. Sigh

Evening Y'all.
Beth made a huge pot of chili yesterday and it was awesome tonight. It is like speggetty it always tastes better the next day.
Finished up all of the work I had scheduled for tomorrow and was looking forward to closing the shop at non but the phone has been going nuts with all the last min people looking to get their cars inspected. Our inspector isn't the fastest in the world (my son) so it looks like I am going to be stepping into his dept tomorrow and running that show.
I like being in charge but I really hate having to step into someone elses place to get chit done quicker.
