Love the sound of that 918 rolling off...
Atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed...Ready to move out. Na na, na na, na an, na na, Bat Man!

Well I pulled a rick tonight.... Had the garage door only open about 4ft because the 944 was on the lift and the door won't open all the way with the car way up... Learned that tonight too... DOH! Only scratched some vinyl on the hatch at least...
Anyways, I was right outside the garage door cleaning some stuff. Turned to get up and go inside and rung by bell on the door as I got up! No blood though. |

Last time I tried to give myself a concussion was accelerating away from a successful left foot braking corner. Brake pedal does NOT do the same thing at all as the clutch pedal when upshiftomg. That's embarrassing event when you are by yourself and nobody else sees it. Kinda takes the pride of left foot braking into and thru the corner right out of the experience.

Kinda on that same theme...
Watch Legendary Motorcars this past weekend. As a treat, Pete took everyone to the Bondurant Driving School in AZ. Two of the shop hands were complete novices so they showed the Bondurant instructor giving heel and toe instructions. He told them to brake with the right heel off the floor so you could lean the bottom of the foot over the blip the gas. In every driving book I've read, INCLUDING the one written by Bob Bondurant says to keep your right heel planted when braking so you use the smaller more accurate calf muscles to regulate threshold braking instead of the big sloppy thigh muscle. AND in all the videos where they show rally drivers braking left footed and blipping the throttle the right heel stays planted. My old driving shoes even have a hole worn in the middle of the ball of the right shoe from rocking it on the edge of the brake pedal. The caught my attention because I have not been able to successfully heel and toe downshift under braking since my foot ordeal. They removed the toe next to my little toe and connected the ligaments to the middle toe, then cut the ligaments and took out the knuckle of my little toe. My foot feels and acts like there is no right side of my foot to blip the throttle with. When I try to heel and toe downshift a few time just driving around town it makes the knuckle of the toe next to my little toe hurt for 2 or 3 days.

Mornin' y'all
I received an email from my bathroom remodeling contractor, Pelican look 171, letting me know the building inspector inspected/passed the bathrooms at our SoCal outpost. We're heading out there this weekend. ![]()

OK, remind me to never borrow a bucket from Jim.
![]() We are having a storm shelter dug into the garage on the 27th. One of the things that will go into the shelter is a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. It will have bottled water and other items in it. It will also server as a pot-a-potty if we are ever stuck down there for an extended period. Most likely it will never be used (I really hope) but it will be there.

I have a pot to piss in. Actually it is a very nice metal porcelain pot with lid, commonly called a chamber pot. It is from when houses had outside plumbing, and also why the night stand beside a bed is also called a commode, it is where you keep your chamber pot. The idea is to not have to trek to the outhouse in the middle of the night. Morning chore, dump the chamber pot. It is about half the size of a 10 gallon bucket, but is porcelain so it cleans up easier and doesn't stain like plastic.
In Boy Sprouts we carried a plastic bucket with the bottom removed and a toilet seat/lid mounted on the top to have a nice seat for our poop tent.

I checked the forecast for next week and we're looking at having highs in the low 70s.

![]() It has a 3:55 posi but some roads it still likes to walk the rear end a bit. Balance is good as well, the pulley for the alternator and water pump is about 4 inches behind the centerline of the front wheels. Yeah, spoons. I should have known better.

We have an on call extension that dials the on call person if there is an emergency, everything else can wait until I get to work.

I don't get many phone calls or email after hours. If I do I always answer them. I had one customer send me a email at 9:30 PM and gave me the "go" on a print job. I logged onto the RIP computer and sent the job to the printer while sitting at home. I came in at my usual 30 minutes early and cut the prints up. I sent an email to the client that they were ready and he was amazed he had prints done by 7:15 AM the next day. He is a good customer that pays his bills within 30 days. He never even asks the price of what it will cost, he just orders what he needs. I looked like a hero and it was an extra 2 minutes of time on my phone.
Of course I really love my job. I get here 30 minutes early most days sometimes I don't even leave for lunch. If I need to leave for the afternoon it is no big thing.
