Good morning guys.

Hopefully I can get my 911 back today. I talked to the body shop yesterday. He replaced the door hinges & the door stop & put in the reinforced door stop. The door goes back on today.

The last few times when I washed the car I noticed some brown water stains coming from the driver’s side rear quarter window after I dried the car and drove it a short distance. It looked like rusty water. That was the real motivation to take the car to the body shop. He pulled out the window and found a small spot of surface rust the size of a pencil eraser. He fixed that and put the window back in and he said that I had to be observant to find something like that. I am sure if it was a red or brown car I would have missed it. The good news is that it is cancer free now.

G-man (and the rest) just pm me your email address and I will add you to my email list. I pass on the funny and quality emails. Some of them are NSFW.

Morning.... I waved the white flag of surrender and called Mike and told him to just index the torsion bars and get it right... I'm sick of jacking with it.... I'm not used to letting another man do this much work to my car though....

I most likely won't be at the club meeting in the morning... I'm gunna sleep in for the first Saturday in weeks... Sorry guys.

Sluffer.

Why back in the old days I would get up before I went to bed after working 26 hours straight in the 130 degree heat and walk home in the snow that was 2 feet deep up hill both ways!

porsche4life 10-01-2010 06:45 AM

You forgot to put that in green Glen...

GH85Carrera 10-01-2010 06:57 AM

I figured it was obvious enough without green text. But it is just a very slight exaggeration.

RKDinOKC 10-01-2010 12:24 PM

Couldn't sleep last night. Just woke up and....I officially declare the weekend has begun!!!

GH85Carrera 10-01-2010 12:24 PM

So it was a tough Friday at work. :)

RKDinOKC 10-01-2010 12:28 PM

I called in asleep.

Man, I did not get my nap in today at work. The phone would ring and it was another moron trying to sell us something. I swear we had some moron today want us to buy an ad in a wedding magazine. I kept telling her all we shoot are aerial photos!

This company has been in business for over 60 years. The former owner did shoot one wedding about 20 years ago. It was a BIG outdoor shindig at a ranch. He flew over just as the bride walked down the aisle. For us to do that now would cost the customer well over a grand and that is if it was fairly close to OKC. I doubt we will have many wedding customers.

Tomorrow, I am telling the entire world to kiss my back side, filling the 911 up with gas, and I am heading into the mountains. Thinking skyline drive, but I may opt for the lesser traveled roads. I will go where the wind takes me. Damn I need a day like this. I might even manage a smile.

Sidney, he was being serious...

He worked 26 hours a day, in 130F heat and then had to walk home in snow that was 2' deep.

Why would Glen put that in green? Makes perfect sense to me. :)

Sounds like me, except I only had one shoe and I had to share that with my sister

I'm planing the same thing. Got to yank my hind wheels off and take them to get resoled. Then i'll have to go break them in somewhere.

Luxury...we dreamed of walking to school in only 2 ft of snow. We had to walk bare footed on broken glass. We lived in a paper bag in the bottom of a septic tank and our dad would kill us every night and dance about on our graves.

Kids today, they just don't believe you when you tell them.

Holy Fukking Sht! I'm sitting here, surfing Pelican, waiting for the family to come home, when all of a sudden a ridiculously loud glass/bell like clang sounds out from the kitchen/dining room. I walked over to find this:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...g/DSC_0283.jpg
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...DSC_0284-1.jpg

The glass cover to the dining room ceiling light spontaneously fell off, plunged to the dining room table below, and smashed the glass top. There's a little metal knob/finial on the tip of the glass dome, apparently.

That was 10 minutes ago, and I still hear the glass cracking like Rice Krispies.

nynor 10-01-2010 06:25 PM

oh, that sucks.

pete3799 10-01-2010 06:29 PM

I'll vouch for you noah.
Honest....he was perusing the chest thread when suddenly.........

Noah930 10-01-2010 06:34 PM

Which would be the worse admission to my wife? Saying I was f'ing around and broke the dining room table? Or that I was perusing the chest thread? And how'd you know I was perusing the chest thread at the time?

It's still Rice Krispying as I type.

Noah930 10-01-2010 06:38 PM

Even if I go to a custom glass place, what are the odds I can get them to cut me a piece that will fit the table like the original did? The smashed piece was perfectly inset between the two wooden edges for a flush surface. Grrr.
