I tried posting last night from my phone but it wasn't happening. We were in my hometown watching my best friend's daughter sing. I have video but not sure how to post it here. She is very good and her voice is even better since going to school in Chicago.

We are going back there today for a family doins' for the holiday. Should have stayed the night but oh well...

The wife is at the office this morning doing payroll.

Enjoy the day gents!

I'd like to share a video of her but the background noise is distracting. My BIL used his phone to record and you hear more silverware clanking than singing. You can hear me ordering a Stella, though.

Morning all. I had fun mowing the yard yesterday. Mrs Carrera decided I should stop mowing and cut a branch right then. For whatever reason my 21 year old lawnmower does not like to start back up when hot. Since it has a blade clutch it is easy to let it idle as I empty the bag.

Happy Memorial Day. I'm sitting on a bench in the marina waiting for my wife to meet me for some coffee and a bkfst sandwich. I need time to chill out after having relatives overload these last few weeks. After today we'll be free, at least for a few months.

I finally prodded Mrs Carrera to participate in planning our trip in less than two weeks. We spent 5 hours and we still are not done. Once I get a preliminary route pinned down I have to figure out how to get that into my GPS.

Back home from the picanic with family and watching the kids swim.

My sister made BBQ brisket and it was awesome. She made another but it was beer brined and tasted more like corned beef. Played "let's soak each other" with these cool squirt gun devices that looked like big hypodermic needles. My brother and I got each other but good. The kids also ganged up on us.

Good food and family can't be beat. We also took a moment to remember the servicemen and women that paid the ultimate price for us.

I made some basic squirt guns from PVC for the kids to use in the pool. They are awesome!

Went with friends to middle/North Indiana to Shipshewana flea market for the day, stayed Sat night at a big hotel, ordered pizza/beer and had many laughs. The flea market had some neat stuff, but was too much to walk and see everything in a full hot, 90 degree sunny day.

We spent well over half a day planning the route. It is much changed from my old plan.

We're still cleaning up after the family gathering here. My MIL, our niece, her husband and two young boys, our son and his wife were over here for dinner. It was fun but we're glad this is it for a while. We're tired.

Wow Jeff, 60 hour work weeks sucks big time. BTDT, don't wanna do that again. Back in the days when few people had computers and we did computer graphics for clients that market exploded. I would spend hours in front of a computer system we paid 35 grand for all the equipment. We would make what today is called a Power Point presentation only it was decades before Power Point ever was on the market. Since almost no one had a computer to see them we made 35 mm slides and they had to use a 35mm Kodak slide projector. Our system was a 6 Mhz IBM AT with two monitors that we bought in 1985 and the main menu computer was amber text on a black background. It had a second monitor that was color and could display 16.7 million colors. It was SLOW but it never had an problem and was built like it was ready for a war, it was solid.

Good Monday... Um Tuesday morning all.

The fcukwit asked us for a work breakdown then cut the 5hit out of it. Four weeks and retirement training is back on, so he can stick his schedule up his arse......the fcuked up thing is it'll start all over again when I get back.

Hi guys. Jeff, I remember those days well. Stupid ****ing managers that should be managing in a McDonalds, not in a tech company. Oh well, hang in there.

Ours is just an above ground one that you can buy at most stores.

Ideally, an inground would be the ticket but big $$$. We only get hot days for 3 months so the investment is hard to justify. Yeah, it would raise the property value but still....
It is so much better with a sand filter. We have an Intex 20 round 4' deep and the sand filter is an order of magnitude better that the cartridges, even with our small pump. I would like to get a 1/2 or 3/4 hp pump for better vacuuming but for the most part it works very well. We just connect the vacuum to the inlet and skip the skimmer vacuum attachment and vacuum to waste. As far as chemicals we don't have to mess with it much using a floater for the tablets in the pool. The liquid bleach or chlorine works better than the powder shock since it doesn't raise the CYA. Sid turned me onto the Pool School - TFP Home Page site. Good info there.

Morning all the rest.

'Sup Joe? Any paperwork with lead left or just paperwork with a pen?

Rick, hope you are enjoying the warm weather.
